Game Of Thrones: The Sopranos with swords or Dynasty in chainmail?

If you go back to the scene where he busted the pie with his sword and look real close, you will see a dead dove at the bottom with its eyes bleeding. I had to rewind and pause it a few times to spot it. His pie was poisoned shortly before it went out because only one dove had time to die.

So who is king now, Stannis?

Great observation. So it wasnt the wine then

When Joffrey started coughing, I thought he was doing it intentionally. Like "don't leave yet. I need you to bring me some more wine to wash this pie down."

Brother go back and watch the scene. Pause after he splits it open with his sword. The dead dove is in there plain as day. He had the first piece of pie. No one else had eaten any at that point. The king eats first. Notice that he practically begged Tyrion for some wine because he got real thirsty.

I'm not saying there wasn't a dead dove in the pie. I don't think it was meant to imply that's what killed him.

^^^ Yup I caught that.
I figured it was Sansa.

The cup fell. And Joffrey kicked it under the table.

But it looked like Sansa handed Tyrion a 2nd cup - which she ready to go, on the floor by her side.
(or she put some poison in the original cup as she handed it back to him)

Plus it makes sense. (to me)

Sansa kills MULTIPLE birds with that one move.

- Gets rid of Joffrey.
- Gets 'poetic' revenge. (it's an Eye-for-an-eye since it happens at a wedding also)
- Gets rid of Tyrion. (because Cersei now has justification to kill him, off pure emotion)
- Hoping it might make the whole Lannister family to implode from within.

:dunno:

If she DID do it... my guess... she got the poison from Lady Olenna. (Queen of Thornes)

And that Court Jester saw it all go down. And knew what was up.
That's why he jumped in to save her... like she saved him.

Because it would not take very long for the Lannisters to figure it out.
Sansa has a bad 'poker face'. :smh:

She looked completely 'zoned out' during the whole reception.

She had that "fuck it. why not. i'll do it. let the chips fall where they may." type of expression.

The old lady took a stone from the necklace of Sansa
They did it

This legit ?

That doesn't make sense unless they didn't know she wasn't officially the Queen yet. I think Cersi did it. Jamie told sir Lauris that she'd kill him in his sleep if they ever got married but he didn't have to worry about that because she would never marry him.

I thought the dead doves in the pie was because Joffrey had just CHOPPED OPEN the pie with his sword and probably caught a bird or 2 on the downstroke. :dunno:

why wouldn't it make sense? she isn't officially queen since the marriage is not consummated, and now she's still eligible to marry the next in line; tomlin.

Me too, that was my first thought as well. Probably the director working two angles to not make it too obvious on who did it. But the Jester coming and scooping up sansa is very revealing 4real.

Sounds interesting to me. The jester gave her the necklace in the garden and had laced one of the jewels with poison. Lady Olenna pulled the jewel off and gave the poison to Sansa, and Sansa put it in the goblet.

But no one would have known that Joffrey would act an ass and force Tyrion to serve him, so I dunno. This theory has holes in it.

Rob Stark came to his house and made promises only to go back on them, the Frey's had a legitimate excuse as fucked up as it was

Walder Frey broke the rule of hospitality when the Starks broke bread at his crib and harm came to them. To the Gods, this is an unforgivable sin. Peep the Legend of the Rat King regarding this.

I could be wrong. I never read the books, so mines is just a wild guess. :dunno:

However, I do believe that Sansa, that Court Jester and especially Lady Olenna  are involved, somehow.
Maybe Sansa is just her unwitting pawn. :dunno:

Aside form those 3.... the only other person I could think of who could be smart enough & BOLD enough to pull it off somehow - is Prince Oberryn Martell. (based on last week's episode.)

That dude wants the Lannisters to suffer.

But he never got close enough to the King at the reception. :smh:
And poison would not be his preferred method.
He is a swordsman.

So he'd use a knife, dagger, or sword most likely.
And make it a spectacle.

Interesting spoiler. BITCH.

Tommen Baratheon, well, at least he does not watch tranny movies.

BITCH.

Not really a spoiler son.

The next in line in the family is always next in line for the throne.

Thats why everyone wants to kill the Stark boys so bad.

As far as who did it it wasnt Sansa.

After she touched it and gave it to Tyrion Joffrey drank out of it and was fine.

Joffrey then ate the pie and had Tyrion refill the glass which was left on the table by the Tyrells.

Alaso this was obviously planned so for it to have been Sansa they would have had to be able to predict Joffrey would humiliate Tyrion and kick his glass towards Sansa so she coukd poison him which would be impossible.

Pretty sure it was the pie though. He was already starting to have issues before he drank the wine which is why he was extremely thirsty.

Yeah but again how would any of them know they would get near Joffrey to poison him, particularly Sansa.

The Red Viper I agree would be a prime suspect but I also dont think its his style.

If Lady Ollena did do it that would mean she would have had her granddaughter, the new queen, do it because she was the one who was closest to the cup.

who is the kid sittin next to tyrion at the feast

Joffrey's little brother.

I say it was the jester. Didn't he have a talk wit the red head in the woods previously about something, and he knew to rush her away

Agreed it was planned.

But Sansa could've brought the poison with her and just needed any 'opportunity' to plant it. (The cup incident was just dumb luck & the excuse she was looking for = Motive + Opportunity)

They didn't need to predict that Joffrey would try to embarrass Tyrion. :smh:

But I do agree with this part you mentioned...

"Joffrey then ate the pie and had Tyrion refill the glass which was left on the table by the Tyrells."

Yup. That is it. That's the one.
Best explanation. And most logical. Agreed.

The only part I could agree Sansa playing would be unwitting pawn.

***********Warning, I'm basing whats posted below on the GIF's posted above so they may be potential SPOILERS************

As has been implied by the GIF's posted of Lady Ollena, she might have gotten the poison off of the necklace on Sansa's neck.

If you recall a couple of episodes back the court jester, the same who whisked Sansa away during the whole commotion, gave that necklace to Sansa as a "thank you" for saving him when Joffrey was going to kill him at a time when it appeared Joffrey may still marry her, and begged her to wear it.

That could have been planted by the Tyrell's so that Lady Ollena could get to it during the wedding without anyone knowing.

And if thats the case then Margery Tyrell was in on it as well and she may have even put it in the wine.

Some may see it as such.

But it's more I enjoy letting anyone on BGOL know that Dionysus, aka godoftrannies is a stone cold weirdo.

It enhances my BGOL experience that he knows, that I know, what he did.

No, he did not do it here. But he admitted and proudly stood for how he did it on other boards.

no doubt, I'll let you two carry on your beef and let me mind my business then:lol:

man cant the king have a person who test the food and drink?

yea, after this they did

it wasn't sansa. that's giving her way too much credit. she is where she is. she didn't even want to get out of there until dude basically said if you want to live you better come.

the guy who got her, find out who he's connected to and that's who did it. he made the introduction last week and pledged his loyalty planting that seed, so he shows up today and she goes with him cause she trusts him.

i doubt it was tyrion because he didn't know the dwarf show was going to happen and he was planning to pay the king back later in some way.

The queen possibly because she wasn't trying to take a bite of that pie she was forcing it to him like crazy and was all too happy the pie was coming out. she doesn't love the dude she was just getting married for the power.

when Oberyn Tywin and Cersi were talking i swear on everything this was playing in the background
