Game Of Thrones: The Sopranos with swords or Dynasty in chainmail?

Remember Stannis burned the leeches last week and now Robb Stark is fucking dead. I figure Balon Greyjoy and joffery are gonna be dead as shit soon too. The shit is a Song of Ice an fire So Jon Snow and Danerys gotta get in this shit soon.

I guess right now Roose Bolton Rules the north and the Freys rule the River. The Starks stay losing and Bran is a cripple and Sansa is a Lannister. Shit is looking bleak.

Didnt no one say shit about how they shot Robbs wolf? Usually people care more about animals dying than they do about niggas.

Seems to me that right now Sansa Stark and her husband Tyrion Lanister are the new Lords of Winterfell, giving the North to the Lanisters.

The show let me down with that shit.

They teased us with them at the beginning of last season like they would be a big part of this season and we've barely seen them:angry:

That is how it is in the books too. It drives me crazy as well. You only get snippets of them appearing here and there. Things begin to take off in book 5.

But from my point of view George RR Martin is purposely pacing their story like that to represent the foreboding onslaught of an incoming freight train.

But Winterfell is burned to the ground. And By Roose Boltons men, I might add. He is the only one with any army in the north. Tyrion and Sansa have no means to even get to the north, and no castle if they did get up there.

True but maybe with them not being ready to actually rule Tywin is going to allow Roose to run things for the time being.

Either way Roose is definitely richer and more powerful now.

Thinking back on the episode now I think Cat got a little suspicious the moment Roose told her and Blackfish about him marrying one if the Frey granddaughters for some silver. That shit seemed to make her uneasy and suspicious.

But they have the legitimate claim to it. Trust....Tywin didn't orchestrate that shit to give the North to Roose Bolton. He knew that once Robb was dead, Winterfell (The legitimate claim to the North) was his via Tyrion + Sansa.

Not just the walking dead they also passed on breaking bad. Image both of those shows with the freedom of paid cable

The passed on Breaking Bad, but not sure if WD was even pitched to them. I don't think so.

Stay tuned, HBO and Tom Hanks are developing American Gods by Neil Gaiman as a TV series. If done right, that shit will .

Plus Gaiman is working on a sequel to American Gods. Not Anasi Boys, but a sequel covering Shadow.

Those who haven't read American Gods, y'all need to jump on it.

[EDIT] HBO passed on Mad Men. Not sure Breaking Bad or Walking Dead was even pitched to them.

Book 5? Fuck we're only in book three!!!:pain:

Exactly. He has the North for the immediate future.

I didn't know it was Roose's men who burned Winterfell though.

At this fucking rate there won't be any Starks left by the end of next season. Shit man Game of Thrones ain't no fucking joke. If this shit was on ABC that nigga Ned first off would've never died. They will kill any main character and not a single fuck will be given. Just when you think not another one can die they take the mom and son out......fuck.

Game of Thrones is my shit....almost wants to make me read the damn book because I can't be waiting a year for this shit.

Naw it was pitched to both HBO and NBC but both felt it was too violent and gory and wanted it toned down which led producers taking it to AMC.

I've heard about the American Gods series I'm looking forward to it but it still doesnt have a debut date.

The way the sacking of Winterfell went down in the show was very different from the book (it was actually more epic). When you have time you should try to read it for yourself. What transpired there was a dead give away where Roose head was at.

If you are interested type the "sack of winterfell" in google if you don't feel like reading the book.

The black Billy Kane lol

It was the Greyjoys lead by Theon that sacked Winterfell.

I know but duke I quoted said it was Roose's men which isn't impossible. This betrayal was probably in the works for a while and burning Winterfell may have just been another way of making the Starks weaker so they could finally be taken out.

Oh shit......that wasn't even in the season finale? Goh damn.......

Yeah they always make these shocking moments occur in the ninth episode. Neds beheading took place in the ninth eoisode too. I think they like to get this out the way so they can set things up for next season.

It would be nice,if they do concentrate on them a little more in "Winds of Winter"...whenever that shit comes out....:hmm:

You know what? You're right I forgot Ned did die in the second to last season. Its smart. Makes you wonder why network TV doesn't do it. It sets you up to have historic numbers on the season finale if you do that second to last episode right like Game of Thrones has.

Ill check it out.

I'm definitely going to read the books at some point but I know once I start I won't be able to stop and I don't want to spoil the show for myself and ruin moments like tonight.

Theon captured Winterfel - then - the Boltons sacked and burned Winterfel...

You can't end a season in a moment like this when you won't be back on for another whole year. It would leave a bad taste in people's mouth imo.

That was a gangster ass episode. Didn't read the books. Had no clue it was gonna go down like that. Best show on tv.

The sacking of Winterfell goes down differently in the books from the TV show. But I won't get into it.

It's been discussed. The penultimate episode is always a shocker.
Ned dying.
The Battle of Blackwater.
Red wedding.
Next season's is being discussed in the spoiler thread.

Wow, what show ever had such an instant impact after an episode.

People are still going nuts all over the world

We are still picking up the pieces of our shattered hearts after tonight's mind-blowing Game of Thrones Season 3 Episode 9, "The Rains of Castamere," which is better known as the infamous Red Wedding episode. Yes, there were multiple shocking deaths tonight (R.I.P., Robb Stark!), but the one that's still got our neck hairs on end is the stabbing of Robb's pregnant wife Talisa and her unborn baby.
Everthing appeared to be going great at Edmure's wedding to Roslin Frey. That is, until "The Rains of Castamere," a Lannister song, started to play. Then all hell broke loose.
Frey holds up his hand to stop the music, declaring that he has yet to give his new queen (AKA Talisa, Robb's wife) a present. Cat looks down and notices that Roose Bolton is wearing armor, but as she's putting two and two together, Talisa is stabbed multiple times in the stomach — and the result is brutal. Slaughter breaks out everywhere, as all of Robb's men are attacked. Robb himself is shot full of arrows. But he somehow manages to crawl to his dead wife and unborn child. It's a heartbreaking scene, considering that just minutes prior, Talisa told Robb how if they had a son, she'd like to name him Eddard. Cue the sobs
But did Game of Thrones finally go too far with Talisa's death scene? Sure, we've seen King Robert's bastards taken from their mothers and killed in Season 1, but seeing Robb's pregnant wife get stabbed multiple times in the stomach was especially unsettling.
Do you think the show went too far with her (and her baby's) super-graphic death, or do you think violent scenes like that are all par for the course in the fight for the Iron Throne? Sound off below!

How will it all end? The Game of Thrones Season 3 finale happens next Sunday, June 9, 2013, on HBO at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
