Game Of Thrones: The Sopranos with swords or Dynasty in chainmail?

Walking Dead?

Brother art thou serious?

The Walking Pile of Shit of a television show don't compare to this man...this show is crazy...it's too early to say but @ this rate this is shaping up to be one of the best shows I've seen as far as tv dramas go...the characters are really endearing...they need to hurry up and kill Ned Starks...dude is noble and all but he is clearly outmatched in this game...he shoulda listened to his wife and stayed home...now he caught up knee deep in a game he ain't built for...how could he not see that sheisty dude coming...doubt the queen will let him live

Ned didnt want to become the King's Hand but he accepted it because him and Robert been close friends for a long time...Ned should of still said "No" though...The Starks could of had the advantage at home if the war broken out...I feel Robert(Ned's son) isnt ready to become a leader,Bran is cripple, and Rickon is too young..

Ya I barely started the book...I'm on the 3rd entry...the little girl I think...but when reading the part where they found the direwolf slain I remember them being described as big

I've been stuck on the second book for almost a month, people dont believe in giving me space....:smh::smh::smh::smh:

The speech was crazy...I def pushing for them to bring it...I don't think the Starks can last long...Ned played this very wrong...fucked up shit is the pimp gave him the best advice...Ned is a respectable character but not my fav nor likeable to me...I like Jon Snow character he has that noble side but I think that label of bastard and his experience at the wall will give him that dark edge his father doesn't have...his character and Kalese however you spell it are my favs...she came into her own right rather fast...I don't like any of the Starks...my dislike for them is more real than my dislike for the Lanisters...they're evil assholes so it's easy to hate them...but Starks his wife the heir son and their elder daughter rub me the wrong way

Arya is probably my favorite Stark, she knows what she wants considering she's the second youngest of the Stark children.....On top of that she's not afraid to speak her mind...

Im hoping we find out who is Jon Snow's mother

ned got caught up in some shit cause he couldnt control his wife
as far as the starks go, i don't dislike ned he's just trying to always keep the peace and doesn't want war when war is what was gonna happen anyway. his wife left the house, to go searching for the person that tried to kill her little boy and do the shit on her own then catches the gimp and takes him and shit not even thinking about the consequences of NONE of that shit. and ned is the one that has to deal with it. his wife is all in a rest haven and shit and he's in the weeds trying to clean up her mess...so yes i dislike her very much.
the older daughter is a dweeb. she might as well get whored out to whomever at this point, her passion to be a princess is more than her passion to be true to her family. instead of telling the truth on the dude she might marry to be queen, she says she doesn't know and gets her wolf killed... she's just a dumb ass and i'd leave her there. everyone else im indifferent to sans mr snow...he's the man and you can already tell by the road he's traveling that when he arrives at his true destination he's gonna be epic.

lannisters are some bitches sans pops...and the gimp really doesn't do shit either honestly other than drink and fuck. but pops is noble that's why he is who he is, his kids must act like their mother cause they don't resemble him at all

and i agree the dragon queen is my favorite right now too, she took a shitty situation and now she's relishing in the role. and of course with that dragon egg experiment she see's that she's the one and her son is going to be the one so nobody can tell her shit
she ate the heart, learned the language now she's on her own two honestly and strong woman surprisingly.
i root for her.
that's kind of why i want the lannisters to succeed so they can face off and lose to the dragon queen.

like i said
if you didn't think that he meant anything he ever said before that
you knew he meant that shit for damn sure

If I coulda jump thru the screen and fight on that dude side @ that moment...I woulda still take a raincheck but I woulda @ least told him I would be there in spirit...that shit got me amped tho

This is why I dont understand about Ned,when Ned and Arya was talking and he said she has to stand by Joffrey side even when he's wrong and then turn around and tells Sansa that he made a mistake...It wasnt that hard to figure out that Joffrey was an asshole...

Hell, even Robert kinda knew Joffrey was lying about that situation but wanted Cersei to shut the fuck up about it because she was making it a big deal.

Man I could talk about this shit all nite but I gotta get ta sleep...props to all for bringing the show/books and good discussion to the table...the crazy shit is I think there are only 3 more eps left

You really need to read the books man. It will suck you in and you'll see there is more to Tyrion than just fucking and drinking. That little mutha fucka is cunning as hell.

I think alot of people underestimate him because of his size....The only person who look pass it is Jon Snow

Ya man that is the beauty of reading it...you get far more insight into the characters and the author can give you a lil more background even as he narrates a "current" event...I've also noticed some slight differences as well...I even had the nerve to think the book did "it" wrong in relation to an event from the show but then I caught myself

joffrey needs to die like today
the kicker is he isn't even in line to be king genetically  like he has no claim to the crown... so its extra frustrating to hear him command shit...he can't even fight a little girl but he's gonna rule a kingdom? no

nah i know he's more than that, i'm just saying to this point in the presentation he's done no real wrong
he fucked, he got drunk but he honestly wasn't behind the murder attempt, he didn't push the boy out the window, the only thing he's done is fight for his life when it was on trial, get captured, and slap the little boy up for being stupid.

can't fault him for that so far

Nah, Joff is the type to do what he wants. Remember that scene when his mother was trying to school him on how to handle the North? Remember how hardheaded he was? Now that he has power that shit will be multiplied 100%. He doesn't give a shit about anyone's opinion but his own.

co-sign. :smh::smh:

everybody is talking about that war thats going to pop off. ninjas forgetting this ninjas speech....

800px-Khal_Drogo.PNG

his shit had to be the best pre war speech of all time.

you cant really trust nobody on this frigging show :smh:.

when she ate that heart...that was what put her over the top

that put her on another level, you eat a heart..you're not fucking around now

:lol::lol::roflmao::roflmao2::roflmao3::itsawrap:

Yeah, I can honestly admit....

I ain't NEVER (AND I MEAN EVER!) had a woman do no shit like that.... for me. :smh:

Even if she thought about it, or 'just started to do it' at a dinner party... I'd be like....

"Nah, no thanks. :smh: That's ok. I ain't never asked you to do THAT. :smh: You wylin right about now." :smh:

Mannnnnnnnnnn Papa Lannister just showed why it's so damned important to have a father in the house lol. The beginning of ep 7 that talk they had. BRILLIANT. Something every father needs to say to his son.

Ned reminds me so much of my husband. His 1 downfall as a man was his belief that other men could be as honorable as he was.

The end of this ep had my mouth just wiiiiiiiiiiiiide the hell open!!!

OMG I'm so mad!

Damn man I had to pause @ Drogo speech man he is seriously finnin to ride on them niggas something awful...I like reading but yo I need the visuals too...son is going off :itsawrap:

I was heated. lol Wifey was heated. My man said he was gonna kill EVVVVVRYBODY.

Rape they women, make their children their slaves. He was goin IN!!!

The queen said something to her son about why you can't just march up into the north and "take" it. I think the Stark family is just too powerful to run up on like that. I think the Lannisters and the Starks are kinda equal that way. The Lannisters may be the richest but i think the Starks could bring the most heat. I think in terms of the Lannisters being Napoleon/Hitler trying to run up on Russia. Just not happening.

Cuz i agree with you. Robert ain't got it. IT. He doesn't have.

You don't understand her motivations it seems. And to me the Tirion fell into her lap. As far as she was concerned this is the motherfucker who tried to kill her child. Her side of this is that ... here's the guy who tried to kill my baby. And you saw how ned was. Ned WANTED it with the Lannisters. He just didn't want to get Robert involved with it and become a detriment to the kingdom. Ned wants Jaime so bad he can feel it in his teeth.

Despised him. I think i understand him a little bit more now. That speech his dad gave him i think is going to inspire him to be a little less insipid now.

The quintessence of a ride or die bitch!!!

The quintessence of a ride or die bitch!!!

nah i understand her motives, i just think it was stupid to do.
she wants justice for her baby and i understand it. but there is a way you can get it without basically sending the families to war immediately and abandoning all your other children and getting your husband fucked up and forced to face the consequences of your actions because he is a noble man.

she could have come to him and said look this is what it is, and trust he would do right, because he would. he puts family above all else, so if he knew then he'd take action the correct way instead of finding out about shit from other people.

yea i see what you're saying about him, but it speaks to the softness in him.
he is nothing like his father but that speech might inspire it.
if he really truly wanted to be his dad's son that speech wouldn't have been made then
it would have been made to the someone the little boy's age, a life lesson that would carry him into adulthood. that's something a 12 year old hears and grows up to and lives by
not a grown man finds out after living half of his life.

and she's my favorite character right now just cause of how she turned that raw deal into some good shit.

I'm not saying what mama stark did was right. It was wrong. But the circumstances leant themselves to the direction it was in. If i remember right she was taking lil dude back to Winterfell. She couldn't have taken him King's Landing.

About Jaime....you never know. People, grown dudes. CAN change. All it takes is the right moment. The right pin prick at the right time. Life is a series of lessons. Jaime already showed me in a way that he has it IN him. He wants to be...something better than what he is. He's the type that wants to be Ned. He wanted to get respect. He wanted to get that sense of walking with your head up for once by beating Ned.

I understood that feeling the scene conveyed. That was a dopeass scene to me. I might watch it again lol

Dragon girl i think is gonna be a muthafuckin problem. I like her too. She's Chelle's favorite right now too.

Betcha it's the Queen.

Anything is possible on this show. :dunno:
But somehow, I don't think so. :smh:

Back in episode 1 or 2 (can't remember which) both King Baratheon & Catelyn Stark (Ned's wife) alluded to the fact that Jon Snow's mother was....

Either....
1. just some 'chic from a brothel' (that Ned fell for)
2. or just an 'average jane', not born from nobility like Catelyn (that Ned fell for), from some region they conquered during the War....

If I remember correctly, both the King & Catelyn had a totally different perspective on her....

This is why Catelyn never wanted Ned to be "The Hand", in the first place :smh:

Because she said something like.... "The last time you followed your ol' buddy (the King) into War.... after a year or 2... you came back with a son." :( (i.e. Jon Snow)
----------------------
Meanwhile in the scene when King Baratheon was reminiscing with Ned and talking about their families (i.e. when he first arrived in Winterfell, to ask him to be 'The Hand').... he said something like....

"Soldiers go off to War... and you never know if you are ever coming back... so you find a lady... cause it might be your LAST time to ever 'get some'. Shit happens. Get over it."
----------------------
At the end of the day... I think that Ned had some 'real feelings' towards Jon's mother (whoever she is)... but is 'too ashamed' by his infidelity to admit it to anyone.

Plus, he has to 'keep his gameface on' (at all times) when it comes to the subject of having 'a bastard son'.

Cuz he has a Kingdom to run.
(Plus a castle in Winterfell)

Just my theory.
But I haven't read the books, so I dunno for sure. :dunno:

Im not gonna say anything but I will say this episode 8 or 9 is gonna piss you off though.........:smh::smh::smh:

I'm only guess because I've listened to the books and they're basically at the end of the book....

I will say this though, you are right about a few things

You gotta remember their was only a hand full of people who knew about the situation with Bran....The reason why she went to King's Landing personally because it was alot safer than using a raven with a message.....She said the message might get intercepted by the Lannisters and ravens were known to get lost..

The one thing I never understood is why Eddard never brung the situation up to Robert...I mean if you feel the Lannisters was responsible for you're kid being cripple and you're best friends with him, I would of thought he would of said something about it.

I do agree that Catelyn put Eddard in a fucked up situation by kidnapping Tyrion though...Its bad enough Eddard is surrounded by Lannisters and their allies at King's Landing and this whole situation pops off...

But the King was a HOTHEAD.

Robert was Ned's brother / best friend.
And he was on his deathbed.

He knew the King's temper (from hearing THAT type of news :hmm:) would prolly send him into an ALL-OUT RAGE.:angry:

Or cardiac arrest, or some shit.
And possibly kill him. Instantly. (or even quicker than he was already fading)

I guess he did not want to see his best friend spend his 'final moments'.... frothing at the mouth.

Literally.

she should have handled it differently. i would have respected it more. cause ned is just out there when she does that shit, he's just out there and has to step up without a plan or prior knowledge. the last 2-3 episodes he's just been hit with surprise after surprise and getting fucked up behind it.

the scene was dope for me too, i just thought that it was something that you say to your son when you are younger like my pops did me that's all.

she's the shit right now, and i was wondering, why did dude have a change of heart? no doubt he setup the poisoning since he got his full pardon right before she went to the wine, is it a case of he sees what the future holds and she has the power so he comes in and acts as hero and then is aligned with the winning side once they ride the wooden horses across the poison sea to go rape their women and take their children as slaves?

well yea i remember why she had to do it in secret and herself my point was she should have just visited her husband...the king's hand and told him then went back home. let him handle it. bring all the kids back to winterfell and let him handle it prepared and ready for any possible outcome.

she put him in a i have to impromptu save my honor, my family and myself from this wild shit my wife did...to protect our son, but might end up hurting our whole country.

and let's remember that she kidnapped an innocent man..
guilty by association of family heritage i guess, BUT he didn't do it.

at the end of the season ill read the books i don't want to know what to expect i want to watch in shock and discuss.

THEN after this season we should discuss the books or areas it covered where it could improve etc etc
its exciting tv, and it becomes less exciting if i already know what to expect... and then i get setup for disappointment if some stuff that's intriguing and important to me in the book doesn't happen on tv...not saying that it will but just saying

I thought so too.

his honor kept him from doing the things that turned out to be the right things to do
he didn't want to disrespect but in this case it was the right thing to do

tell your friend about it before he dies so he can act accordingly

lock the queen and the kid up like it was suggested

get his family out of dodge

he needs to think 5 steps ahead to preserve his honor
not 1 honor step at a time

cause if he thought about it, he could go ahead and do those things to make sure that his family was safe and the 7 kingdoms were in the right hands.

Just a guess... but I think, when Jorah got his 'pardon'... he put 2 + 2 together. Real quick!!

He suddenly realized that...

If a young boy handed him a message (of such magnitude)...

He must have gotten it from a nearby ADULT.
Sent from King's Landing.

And if 'said adult' had already reached their camp (waaay out in the middle of nowhere).... just to deliver a 'message'... he knows that the King (who feels threatened by Calisi & her baby) would've most likely... sent his assassins for her ALSO.

Think about it.... Why would the King grant him a 'FULL pardon' all out the blue? :dunno:
After all those YEARS spent in exile? (And while that Barbarian army is 'on the move'. Gearing up for war.)

Coincidence?? :smh: Too fishy.

To me, the King gave Jorah an 'exit strategy' with that pardon, by subtly telling him... "Look, homeboy. You've already paid your debts to society. But after I get rid of your Boss, the Calisi... You ain't gonna be safe out there in them streets, in the middle of nowhere... :smh: (amongst the hostile Barbarians who will TURN against you, once the 'shit hits the fan')... So, come home. All is forgiven. I could use a loyal underling like you in my regime. Ya heard?" (see vid below)

And I think the King probably figured the 'pardon' would reach him RIGHT AFTER the deed was done.
When everyone would be scrambling. And pointing fingers.
Looking for someone (like her royal bodyguards) to blame. :hmm:

Just how I saw it.

Sidenote: "Good help is hard to find."

That's why Avon Barksdale gave a similar order to Stringer (i.e. to acquire his enemy's underlings ).
When he tried to take over Scar's corners. Check the first 40 seconds of the clip below.

well yea i remember why she had to do it in secret and herself my point was she should have just visited her husband...the king's hand and told him then went back home. let him handle it. bring all the kids back to winterfell and let him handle it prepared and ready for any possible outcome.

she put him in a i have to impromptu save my honor, my family and myself from this wild shit my wife did...to protect our son, but might end up hurting our whole country.

and let's remember that she kidnapped an innocent man..
guilty by association of family heritage i guess, BUT he didn't do it.

at the end of the season ill read the books i don't want to know what to expect i want to watch in shock and discuss.

You will like the books alot..

The fifth book comes out next month so hopefully me and someone can find it.

I haven't read the books yet (I'll read the first when this season ends) but fro what I do know I can't. Imagine them completely following the book especially in regards to deaths that I've heard occur. TV and books are 2 different things and people tend to get attached to characters on shows, that would be risky IMO

Jon Snow)

:dunno:

I have read the first three books, and Martin sill has yet to reveal Jon Snow's mother. So what I am going to write is not a spoiler it is speculation. As a matter of fact there are whole websites dedicated to theorizing who his mother is.

When Jon Snow is described he is always described as looking like a true Stark and son of the North. So we know that at least one parent is a Stark. Ned treats Jon as if he was his own son, but most bastards are discarded.

My theory is that Rhaegar Targaryen, the Crown Prince, kidnapped Lyanna and they were secretly lovers and that while he had her at the Tower of Joy she gave birth to Jon Snow. Ned went to the Tower with Howland Reed and several men. I think Ned found Lyanna dying after she had just given birth. She made Ned promise to keep the baby safe. Ned knew that all Targaryens were being slaughtered and he wasn't going to allow that to happen to his sister's child especially after make the promise. Ned and Howland Reed are the only survivors of the rescue attempt and thus the only ones who know Jon's parentage. If Robert knew that Jon Snow was a child of a Targaryen especially one that he assumed kidnapped and raped Lyanna, the love of his life, he would cut off Jon's head without a thought. Jon is effectively the rightful heir to the throne. I think the title of the series A Song of Ice and Fire, means a story about Jon and Daenerys. When all is said and done, they are going to battle each other at some point for the throne. I think that Jon is the Prince Who Was Promised. IMHO
