Game Of Thrones: The Sopranos with swords or Dynasty in chainmail?

What magic does Arya have?

Very hard to tell you without spoilers....

I would tell you but people may complain about spoilers. The show has not emphasized it like it is hinted in the books.

I wish they put alittle more emphasis on Arya's story on the show.....Her story line seems bland too me...:smh::smh::smh:

It dont have to be the same, but it does need to be stronger, its almost like they dont know what to do with her story....

It's obvious they can get inside and control the animals.... Watch the wolves

No real hate, more so justified criticism of some of his actions which ill advised and counterproductive to his goal. I can understand not killing his mom, because I think anyone would at least let their mother live (even Joffrey gave Cersi a warning in season 2 when she bitch slapped him in the throne room in front of people).... but pissing off the Freys and killing old dude knowing full well that he'd lose half his army... bad decisions.
Warrior code or not, he's supposed to be King of the north now, and his obvious bad decisions are reflecting poorly on his leadership skills.

Think about the decisions Arya and Jon have had to make. Jon had to kill a fellow crow and pretend to be a wilding convert. Arya has pretended to be a boy; let prisoners escape, then used the magic of one of the escapees to keep herself alive and further her goals. Rob probably would have done things differently if he was put in their spots, differently and probably wrongly, and he wouldn't be surviving like them.

Doing what you need to do to survive as a person is MUCH different than being King and having to make lasting decisions.

You let the man get away with murder, there's consequences for that. You kill him, there's consequences for that too. He has to think what would be best for his cause, and to stay honorable and prove a point.

Much different than the option being your personal survival.

cause her story is TOO scary - GRRM did a great job... but its too strong for western audiences to have a child witnessing and living in the events and conditions told of in the books

im re-watching season 1, & yeah ned was faulty as fuck!

the story has him being an idiot! bad shit started to happen the moment

the king arrived at winterfell. yet he acted is if all was well, & took his

silly ass south to kingslanding! cersi even noted to him he was just a soldier,

not a leader(his brother was raised to lead). & poor robbie didnt get good

leader aspects taught to him, only soldier ones! & he has flushed honor down the toilet!

If Ned wasn't a leader it was because he was always trying to be honor bound. He wasn't cold and calculating. He had a heart.

That's being shown with Robb now. He has honor but his heart also gets in the way.

Robb is still young, and again I reiterate his and Ned's circumstances are much different than Arya, Jon and Bran's.

Here is the deal - Robb Stark cutting off Karstarks head was just as stupid as Joffery cutting off Ned's head - somehow because they arte called King by others there is a level of hubris on both of their parts.

Now Joffrey is hated so we loath his reason for cutting off Ned's head which is Ned was treasonous - even though all advised him that it was the wrong move politically because it would cause the north to attack the Kingdom - Joffrey ignored the advise and did what he pleased

On the other hand, Rob is some what loved (or at least tolerated) so his reason for cutting off Lord Karstark's head because he avenged the death of his son on the relatives of the Lannister and disobeying his orders - treason - then Rob is advised not to kill Karstark because politically he needed the army Karstark provided - Rob ignores the advise and did what he pleased -

There is no difference in action between Joffrey or Rob Stark - they both suffer from Hubris ( means extreme pride or arrogance. Hubris often indicates a loss of contact with reality and an overestimation of one's own competence or capabilities, especially when the person exhibiting it is in a position of power.)

Oh let's not forget Rob's promise to marry Lord Frey's daughter and then said nevermind - I changed my mind - Ned Stark would have whopped his ass for being that dishonorable.

Isn't the difference that Ned wasn't treasonous at all, and that Joffrey went back on his word, while Karstark did act treasonous- and if he hadn't possessed a large army he'd have been killed without debate?

The faceless men? They are members of a guild of assassins.

foreshadowing from what I remember reading

Seriously, I don't know where the hell all this bullshit about Jon being Ned's nephew is coming from. It makes no sense to me. Why tell everyone he's a bastard if he isn't. You know how hated bastards were in those times? Ned wouldn't put a child through all that for nothing.

So busy watching porn you don't have time to read the books or read background information. Anyone who has spent time would know why its a rumor.

The sad flaw about uber honorable persons, ( In real life also ). Is that they actually faithfully believe the rest of the world is just as honorable.

any student of power will disagree with you... Rob broke more than 5 of the 48 laws of power... killing Karstark signaled a lack of ruthlessness... or weakness.
He isn't controlling his image or the way he is perceived - so now his honor is also called into question as being selective, he honored the girl whose virginity he took as a man but broke an oath he made as a ruler / general...

Cut all that laws of power shit out. Robb is supposed to be younger than 21 iirc.

So far all leadership has been through birth. They're just showing us that these guys are flawed and will make mistakes. That's really it.

To add, he wasn't even supposed to be King. Not yet. It was thrust upon him before he's ready. But his character has shown poise. He'll be fine.

I wasn't aware of that :eek::eek::eek:

Sansa's even more fucked since Lady was killed

You know what's funny? I was posting from my phone before and right after I hit reply, I thought the only one that cant warg is Sansa because her wolf was killed and ironically she's the one that everyone clowns. Also ironic her wolf tried to warn her about Joffrey from the rip.

ninjas going to come in here bitching about spoilers.:lol::lol:

Well it's kinda not played up in the show that they all have wolf "dreams" or that Nymeria is out there fucking people's shit up with a large wolf pack. So I wouldn't count that as a spoiler.

The targeryans hair is more silver than blonde

Also remember Catelyn Stark admitted back in season 1 i believe that one reason why she hated Jon so much was because he looked more like Eddard than any of her sons did.

Which would make sense if the child is Ned's sister and therefore of the same bloodline as his own. - I think after this season is over I am going to have to break down and read the books -

LOL- dude, you are watching the wrong show... in this show the ruthless thrive - and weak are used up or killed... no matter how young or old they may be.

Tywin Lannister's father was a fuck up that bankrupted the family. Tywin overcame that disadvantage - started as a younger man than Rob currently is in the story. Danny is younger than Rob and learning on the job, she wasn't the one groomed to rule that was her brother's role...
simply put Rob broke his word to a major ally, and then betrayed another one... fuck the details - that is the story that will spread - his word is now worth less than dirt, and his gutted army is now a joke... As for new allies? Good alliances are made from strength - Rob pissed away any value that he once had - so what kind of ally can he hope to do business with?

But his character has shown poise. He'll be fine.

Peace.

No way he's ok.

Roose Bolton, who has been at every one of Rob's, " Leaked " war councils just let Jaime Lannister walk with a note, " Tell you pops it wasn't me! "

Something's rotten in denmark!

If Rob got Jaime back he could walk into kings landing with a knife at his throat and Lord Tywin Lannister of Casterly Rock would bend the knee.

But Roose just let him go. :hmm::cool:

He'd still be a bastard because his mother and father were not married (no matter what noble house they came from). In fact that's the reason why is name is John Snow. Snow was the name for all the by blows (i.e. bastards) from the Stark line.
Some clarification:
Each of the nine constituent regions of the Seven Kingdoms have bastard surnames decreed by custom. Bastards with a high-born parent are given these surnames to hold them apart from their fathers' houses. The parents may give a bastard a different surname if they wishing, i.e. Tyrion Tanner. Bastards with no known relation to a noble house have no surname, like other smallfolk.

What you're saying, is one of the themes in the show, but another theme is not to sleep on the victims either, because they're the ones that are transformed.

Most of the real players in the show were fucked over in some way.
Robert= the king stole his woman and tried to have him killed....had to fight a bloody war.
Ned= sister was kidnapped, father and brother murdered in a horrible way, king tried to have him killed...had to fight a bloody war.
Little finger= was a small fry, couldn't get the woman he wanted because he was a small fry, almost got killed fighting for her....look at him now.
Varys= the man had his dick chopped off!
I could go on and on.....

Peace.

No way he's ok.

but every victim except Ned survives by becoming utterly ruthless... one of my favorite characters in this story transforms after being taught multiple lessons on how cruel and worthless most people are...

On that note Joffrey's bitch ass is definately on borrowed time too then.

I thought Roose was telling Jamie to clarify to Tywin that HE didn't cut off his hand, but this shows that Roose isn't on Robb's side anymore

I do enjoy the chess matches between Varys and Little Finger

Two of the most powerful people in Westeros and they don't even have their own army at their back.

Little Finger is VERY DANGEROUS. Why? He's a crab with ambition who was stepped on by high born people for years. I'm watching his chess moves closely. We all are caught up in who has the biggest army or who is making the most moves on the sly...aka whoever is making the most noise onscreen. But beware the quiet motherfuckas.

I didn't take it as him not being on his side anymore, I took it more as him hedging his bets because he sees Robb winning the war as a long shot so just in case he doesn't he wants to make it clear to Tywin that what happened to Jaimie wasn't his doing.

I would assume that since it was actually his men who chopped off his hand then he would be more to blame than anyone. So maybe Robb would be pissed at him being maimed since he believes they still have both his sisters and it would put them in even more danger as well as the Lannisters and he'd be the one both blamed so instead he frees Jaimie as a peace offering to Tywin which could also save him from Robbs wrath after Robb found out his men chopped his hand off.

i thought i was the only one to notice this!

homie cutting side deals, 'cause he sees whats happening.

he was supposed to return him to rob, but trying to get on tywins good

side! the starks have ALWAYS had issues in the past with the boltons(main

rivals in the north for the greatest house).

Peace.
