Game Of Thrones: The Sopranos with swords or Dynasty in chainmail?

Quick season 1 question:

Why did Eddark bring Arya to Kingslanding? I remember he brought Sansa so she could marry Joffre and join the Houses, but why bring Arya?

I think it had to do with getting her some culture. Remember the North is the backwoods of Westeros. He would have had to eventually marry her off to someone, so I think he was looking for a suitable match for her too. They arrange marriages at an early age, usually.

Sansa, Arya, and Bran were going to KL with Ned, the feudal system used marriage to maintain alliances, the stark kids were being groomed for intermarriage with other kingdoms in Westeros. Bran of course was injured. Rob was heir to Winterfell and Rickon wasn't speaking yet

Well, all thing considered, she did get to experience a lot of new cultures :dunno:

What did millasandre mean when she said what she said to arya

nobody really knows. the answer to this is spoiler-ish. she has her own chapter in the dance of dragons and you get to understand her and her views looking into the flame .......a little. it's vague.

Any links to the books?

What did millasandre mean when she said what she said to arya

The show producers know the conclusion to the series so through the first 3 seasons they have dropped hints to the finale. Many believe her words to Arya describe the people she will kill by closing their eyes forever, or that it has something to do with her joining Jaqen H'ghar order of assassins and being able to alter her appearance

do the paper books read like the audio books?

the audio is person by person narrative. do the books seperate

the story like that?

I was going to ask that same question, but something about it just seem like potential spoiler territory. You might could get a more detailed answer in the other thread.

yep. the audiobook is an exact reading of the paper books. chapters are broken into character narratives. it's a faster way to get through the books imo.

Where exactly is the show at in the books? I can't take all this suspense ill just read.

somewhere near the middle of a storm of swords (the third book)

still it's better to d/l the audiobooks and start from a game of thrones (first book) imo.

What did millasandre mean when she said what she said to arya

im just guessing here, but i think she was describing the eyes of people whose names Arya says when she goes to sleep. Joffrey, the queen, etc.

2:47 and 3:31 I was cumming!! This is a bad bish...Muhfuhkahs in Westeros fighting and killing each other off. They have no idea...

Why was Sansa crying about the boat at the end?
The boat belongs to Littlefinger (mockingbird on the sails) Sansa is crying because she had a chance to leave with Littlefinger and told him no because she thought she was going to marry Ser Loras. Now she found out that she is going to marry Tyrion instead.

^^^C/S

she made the wrong choice...Littlefinger set it up nicely too. Next time she sees him he'll have more leverage with her. I think of all the people in KL Tyrion has the most empathy and at the very least will be kind and honest with her. She's really crying because she's not leaving KL for Highgarden or Harrenhal...in KL she has to see Joffery and be reminded of her fathers beheading

its fucking hard to sit & listen to the audiobooks!

ive had 'em for awhile now! everytime i try, :smh:.

It depends who's doing the narration

Roy Avers and Roy Dotrice does the first three books
Roy Dotrice and another guy does "Feast for Crows"
And Roy Dotrice is the only one who does "A Dance With Dragons"

Alot of fans prefer Roy Dotrice, since he does each character very well....

Its fucking hard to sit and read them like im trying to do. I had the audio books but the narrator was so damn boring I thought i might end up wrecking my car trying to listen to it on the way to and from work.
