2018 or 2019...any answers yet?

Sophie Turner recently said 2019 in an interview with Variety. Nothing official from HBO though.

As you might have heard, Turner will be in the X-Men: Dark Phoenix movie, and when asked about it, she said, “Yeah, I’m really excited. “Game of Thrones” comes out in 2019. “Dark Phoenix” is in November. Then I have a couple indie movies coming out. I’m a producer on my next movie [“Girl Who Fell From the Sky”]. So I’m really excited about the future.”

In season 2 episode 6, Littlefinger met up with Tywin Lannister with Arya Stark in the room. I know that Littlefinger recognized Arya but I don't recall if he said or did anything.

Tywin knew that she was lying about who she was, but I don't think he ever pressed about who she really was and saw her, though she was a northerner, basically insignificant

I doubt Littlefinger fully recognized her. :smh:

Pretty sure he was thinking to himself... "where do I know this kid's face from?" :dunno:... but while he was trying to put 2+2 together, Tywin kept interrupting him... .and broke his 'train of thought'.

The reason I say this is because... earlier Queen Cersei had almost killed LF when she ordered him to FIND ARYA. (During the infamous: "Power is Power" scene )

And in my opinion, Littlefinger's NUMBER #1 MOTIVE was... self-preservation.
  • So if Littlefinger HAD recognized Arya at Harrenhal...
  • He probably would've INSTANTLY told Tywin ...
  • Especially if he thought (for a second) that Cersei might actually KILL HIM if he never found Arya.
Recognizing Arya... but 'Staying Silent'... would've been 'too big of a risk' for Littlefinger, imo.

Because if Tywin ever figured out that his cupbearer WAS Arya Stark & he brings her back to King's Landing (to be held hostage, as a bargaining chip)... and Cersei finds out that Littlefinger was actually at Harrenhal too... IN THE VERY SAME ROOM AS ARYA :hmm:... but he 'said nothing at all' to alert her father .... then Littlefinger is a DEAD MAN as soon as he comes back to Kings Landing.

Cersei would DEFINITELY have had him executed. Immediately. If not sooner.

And if King Joffrey had heard ANYTHING about his blunder... he probably would've killed Littlefinger... TWICE.

Cersei... bodybag!!
Tywin... bodybag!!!

Shhheiiiit..... cuz Joffrey would've... "put his bodybag.... IN A BODYBAG!!!" (like Tech-9 says :D)

If Littlefinger recognized her, but stayed silent... he would've been gambling that the 3 MOST DEVIOUS Lannisters... (Tywin, Cersei & Joffrey).... would each 'be willing' to spare his life. :smh:

That 'amount of risk' just doesn't fit his whole 'self-preservation' mode of operation. :smh:
Nor his 'Chaos is a Ladder' Theory. :smh:

Because that's not a BET he could easily 'weasel his way out of'... if he lost. :smh:

I could just imagine how that whole scene would've gone down... right in front of the Iron Throne.

(Cersei & Joffrey would NEVER blame Tywin for anything. :smh:)

Cersei would set it off: "I commanded you to find ARYA Stark... you went to Harrenhal to meet with my father... and the 3 of you were alone in a room for quite sometime... before ARYA even spilled wine on you.. but yet you SAID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to identify her :hmm:... nor did you send a raven to notify ME of her whereabouts." :hmm:

Tywin chimes in: "And if it wasn't for ME... she would have escaped." :hmm:

And Joffrey brings it home: "Explain yourself, Lord Baelish. :hmm: Ser Ilyn Payne is waiting to hear your excuse." :hmm:

When season 8 drops, will I be able to catch this on a jail broken Fire Stick?

I know I won't see each episode live but with in a day or two? Are those reasonable expectations?

Tywin knew she was a high born Northerner.
They were great scenes.
However the hand of the king should really know the daughter of the former hand of the king.
He knew who Ned Stark was because they were associates during the rebellion.
Ned's best friend married his daughter for goodness sake!

I was watching every episode in 480p. I recently downloaded every episode and 1080p and God damn the difference is fucking amazing.

Every episode was available in an hour in 480p in MP4 format so I never gave it a second thought. Being bored, I started watching it again in 1080P and I can't go back to that bullshit, even if I have to wait a couple days for the files to convert to MP4

Umm, Correction... Nah, Tywin would not be able to recognize Arya. :smh: At all.

Because King Robert said it was 9 YEARS since the last time he even SAW Ned Stark, in person.
In fact, he didn't even know who Arya WAS... when he first arrived in Winterfell, in episode 1. :smh:
(So it's probably been even longer.... for Tywin.)

If Ned was Robert's 'best friend'... and HE didn't even know who Arya was.... there's no way Tywin would know. :smh:
Because Robert would've definitely 'spent more time' around Ned's family... than Tywin ever did.

skip to the 3:30 mark...

Plus, don't forget... Tywin never went to Kings Landing in season 1 :smh:... He was at Casterly Rock. (For years.)
And the first time we are even introduced to Tywin... he was on the battlefield... talking to Jamie.

After that, Tywin was traveling all around Westeros... commanding his troops to fight Robb Stark's Army.
So he doesn't even arrive in Kings Landing until the end of Season 2. (after the Battle of Blackwater )

So Tywin never even saw Arya (or Sansa) in Kings Landing... before Ned was executed. :smh:
Arya had already left looong ago... to head for the Wall... before he got there.

That's WHY he didn't know who she was... at Harrenhal. :smh:
Tywin never went to The North. :smh:

So the last time Tywin might have ever seen Arya... was when she was an infant. :dunno: (Keyword: might)

Kids mean nothing until they're teenager or marrying age. Tywin also didn't come north with Robert and Cercei. Neither did Littlefinger. As a matter of fact I don't remember a scene with them in the same room in season 1.

Tywin may have known Ned during the rebellion, he had no time to know the kids because the kids were away and safe in Winterfell.

Wow. Bravo. I stand soundly corrected!!!

Good theory about him kinda recognizing her face but not being able to place it.... I can see that being the case. Interesting though.... Aidan Gillen (Baylish actor) has said that his personal theory is that he did in fact know exactly who she was, but chose to hold on to the info (possibly out of his fixation/love for Cat Stark at the time). Now of course, he's not G. Martin, so although it's part of his process in creating the character on film, it's not necessarily G. Martin's intent.....

It's official, 2019

The wait for the next season of one of TV’s most beloved shows will be a bit longer this time. HBO today confirmed that the hit fantasy series, Game of Thrones, will return for its eighth and final season later in 2019. The final season will consist of six episodes.

Season eight for the epic dark fantasy series will feature David Benioff, D.B. Weiss, David Nutter and Miguel Sapochnik as episode directors for the new season. The writers for the new season are David Benioff, D.B. Weiss, Bryan Cogman and Dave Hill.

Game of Thrones executive producers are David Benioff, D.B. Weiss, Carolyn Strauss, Frank Doelger and Bernadette Caulfield. Co-executive producers are Bryan Cogman, Guymon Casady, Vince Gerardis and original author George R.R. Martin.

The term "later in 2019" bugs me, had it been March, like it used to air, it would be fine, but that makes it sound like it won't be until late in the year.

This is a throwback to something funny that's got to be almost 20 years old. Does anybody remember?
