Game Of Thrones: The Sopranos with swords or Dynasty in chainmail?

I can't believe Cersei didn't give the sand snake daughter to the mountain and let her mother watch. So disappointed.

I'm in on this show for the long hall, but I'm kinda pissed with this season's storyline so far...Dany and her allies taking Ls on multiple fronts while dumb-ass Cercei and pussy-ass Jaime stay winning. Shit's gonna have to take one helluva turnabout to make it compelling...Either that or the army of the dead needs to surface ASAP to shake things up.

She doing too much tip toeing around.
Ole Lady said go ahead and rip the band-aid off and be done with it.

Lock Cercei and Jamie in the dungeons forever if she had too.
She woulda still had her allies and ships.

That being said...Euron's fleet is fast as hell.
:hmm:

So it wouldve been better to see Dany run roughshod over Cersei? Naw man. This is great. I like it. This is a war. They playing Chess. And I got my popcorn ready

Where was the Terrell army? Don't they have one of the largest armies?
Jamie, Bronn & the Tarly family (Sam's Dad & older Brother).... just defeated the whole Tyrell Army at the end of the episode.

The Tyrell Army is not known for being savage combatants. :smh:
They got ran over.

The last scene..... with Lady Olenna drinking poison.... was the very end of their ENTIRE bloodline & House.

I think a big portion of their Army was controlled by Tarley (fat Sam's punk ass pops) and he traded sides and rides with the Lannister's now. He was the bald dude on the horse next to Jamie.
Ahh yes they did mention that last week

Randyll Tarly (Sam's father) has his very own army.
House Tarly were the Bannermen for House Tyrell.

House Tyrell had been the Wardens of the South.... for generations.
Just like House Stark had been the Wardens of the North.... for generations.

Last episode, when Jamie was talking to Sam's father in the hallway... he was basically asking him.... "who's side you gonna be on, playa?"

He swore an oath to defend House Tyrell long ago.. AND... he swore an oath to defend House Lannister just recently.... but since they are both enemies now....it was time for him to CHOOSE a side.

As incentive... Jamie promised Sam's father that he would be the new Warden of the South... if the Tarlys helped defeat the Tyrells and the Targaryens.

Lady Olenna went out like the true G that she is. Grabbed the wine gulped it down and continued to talk shit. She's gonna be missed.

Cersei counties to make chess moves. She's Bobby Fisher in Westeros.

They did the whole Jon & Danny not seeing eye to eye bit. We all know they'll come together eventually.

Euron Greyjoy gives zero fucks.

I think the sacking for castlery rock. Happened at least a few days after. Euron left kingslanding.

Great Episode

Light on action, but damn near every word spoken was worth the price of admission.

Vary's and Melisandre spit verses from "started from the bottom now we here". Red Lady leaves Varys shook with a lil bit of prophesy.

Dany and Jon Snow exchanging their curriculum vitaes (which one is worth more coming back from the dead or being burned alive twice?). I think Jon got the better of the exchange overall. I'm glad the showrunners didn't try to put any kind of romantic spark between them cuz that would have been corny as shit.

Yes Team Dany is taking L's, but as they mentioned several times now, its because Tyrion wanted to be seen as benevolent revolutionaries instead of ruthless conquerors. But an L is still an L and they are 0-2 against Team Lannister.

Euron is having a damn good time. No respect for Jamie at all, but Cersei still keeping him wanting more (maybe the smartest thing she ever did). I think I get Cersei now, she's basically at her best when she's backed into a corner. All that conceit gives way for true ruthlessness. It's like she hits a power up button when she crushes her enemies and just like a man she gets her freak on right after.

At this point, I have to ask has the Iron Bank ever made any money off anyone in Westeros? They must be playing that long long game cause so far they ain't collect a dime since the Mad King.

Sansa gets some time as Lord of Winterfell only to see her brother Bran return. Sansa is ready to give up power to Bran only to have him play back the worst night of her life like it was fairy tale. Stark reunions are always "awkward"

Btw, did y'all catch the look Littlefinger gave to the new Maester when he mentioned that old maester Luwin kept a copy of every raven message. I'm curious where that will go.

Jorah Mormont is back in play thanks to Sam, I expect he will play some role with Team Dany before it's all over. Sam gets a power up from his Mentor. Those old scrolls will contain some hidden knowledge I bet.

Greyworm and the Unsullied go all Sean Connery and Nicholas cage to take "The Rock" but get stranded by the Iron Born. Dany takes another L

Jamie gets to finally put in work, but even when he tries to do the honorable thing he's reminded that all his kids are dead due to his sisters actions.

Final thoughts.

This episode was about long awaited meetings and long delayed reunions. People got to size each other up in first time meetings. People got to say some things, mostly uncomfortable things, during the reunions.

Minor nitpick on the time sequence again, I'm assuming the time it took for Jorah to declared completely healed had to take some several weeks if not months, so I'm curious why Arya hasn't made it to Winterfell yet.

I wonder if we'll get to see all 4 of the surviving Starks in the same room at once.

Might be time to make the switch to Jorah
^^ Agreed. I think you are right.

Tyrion is a MUCH BETTER politician... than a Military Commander.
He's never fought in a dirty-ass War :smh:... like the one Cersei is waging.

Jorah's a Battle Tactician. With some grizzled old-school skills.
And that's what Dany needs to 'level the playing field again'.

With only 3 episodes left.. if Jorah doesn't show up in the next episode..... he will DEFINITELY show up at the last minute to save Dany... yet again.

Perhaps this shot of Jamie on the battlefield...is when Jorah is charging at him.... from the other direction. :dunno:

This was most likely the next day.... right after Sam peeled his skin off.
Jorah only had 24 hours left to stay at the Citadel.

The Arch Maester told Jorah: “If you were a commoner... I would ship you off to Valyria at once, to have you live out the rest of your life with the Stone Men… but since you are an Anointed Knight…. I will aloow you just ONE MORE DAY (i.e. to leave on your own. or get kicked out by force)..... How you choose to spend that time is up to you.” (*then he stares at his sword, giving Jorah a big hint to kill himself*)

Damn...All of this.

I caught the look from Little Finger.

Sansa running Winterfell was good. She was really looking out.

Bran seemed weird as fuck to me. They need to explain it or at least have the Reed woman do so.

Wife and I wished a Dragon came over to Jon Snow to be greeted. I almost think they did that from that initial fly by. That Dragon came right over his shoulder. I don't recall any scenes like that without Danny and Tyrian unless the Dragons were going to burn you.

I wonder about Sam and the Arch Meister. It's almost like he's slowly putting Sam in situations to have access to knowledge.

The micro expressions in this episode were masterful.

he is the only person Danny trusts thats also from the north
He'll believe Jon especially when he sees Jon has Longclaw...

would love to see the meeting between Jorah and his niece

Don't sleep on Tyrion's battle strategy abilities. Remember he had multiple clever ideas to fend off Stannis' army before Tywin was able to come save them. That was nothing short of brilliant

See if that's the case then Sam and Jon are dumb as fuck. I mean long term, them being in the watch might end up saving the whole 7 kingdoms but just from reviewing the first season, they're both idiots.

Jon thought being in the watch would be honorable and Sam's dad would have killed him if he didn't go to the wall. But once they got there and FAR before they took the oath, they saw the watch for what it was. Neither of them could have gone home, but they could have went south, built a couple modest homes, found some women, and lived a simple life.

It wouldn't have been the life of lordship that they were used to but a simple regular Joe life still beats living a life at the wall, battling wildlings and not getting pussy.
:dunno:
how about homie who could sing that had to go to the wall because one of the upper class dudes was trying to fuck him and he refused. so to avoid certain death he went to the wall. that dude was telling jon , nigga you crying about being here , my life was fuck cuz a rich dude was trying to fuck.
