Game Of Thrones: The Sopranos with swords or Dynasty in chainmail?

I believe she woulda killed Ned eventually...but as it is she felt that it was too early...you can see the dismay on her face when he said that...I think she even had to be restrained...Ned was more valuable as a hostage until the situation w/ Robb was done...Ned + Sansa were potential bargaining chips...w/ Ned dead now it's all hell let loose on them niggas

Ahh okay I need to watch that again. I don't recall seeing her face when he made the order.

Just watched it again. You're right. She tells him to "stop it" soon as he gives the order. She's created a monster.....

Does anyone else dislike Tyrion's new whore...bitch is pretty forward/mouthy for a whore...and dude opened his heart out to her and the sheisty nigga...I kinda don't like Tyrion character as much anymore...dude reminds me of one of those cats that think he's much smarter than he actually is...this is depicted pretty well in the book too
The whore is a lot meeker and milder in the book IMHO. I was thinking the whore playing Shae would give more the impression if the damsel in distress of being a prostitute that what the chick in the show portrays.

The also left out that Lord Tywin made Tyrion fuck the whore he married in front of everyone after all of Lord Tywins guards had fucked. (Presumably 50 or more men)

Tyrion generally IS smarter that everyone else. Its rare that he gets outsmarten, and then only by the likes of Cersei or Varyes.

Not only that, I thought she couldnt act to save her life

I could of swore Tyrion was telling that story in the show

I agree that Tyrion is one of the smartest characters in the book/show........He needs that to his advantage especially the family he comes from...

The story was told but they left out the part about making Tyrion fuck behind all of the other men.

The saddest part of Ned dying to me was that he sold himself out. He went against everything he believed in and compromised himself and his honer for a daughter (Sansa) that has showed that she will sell out her family members to advance her position in life.

Shit broke my heart when that sword came down on Ned. :smh:

i dont remember him knowing she had betrayed him. I think she learns her lesson anyway,.

In the book,Varys told Ned that Sansa spoke to the Cersei later that night when he told her and Arya they was leaving Kings Landing..

Game of Thrones star Sean Bean was reportedly stabbed during an altercation in North London at the weekend.

Bean was allegedly attacked near the Hill Bar and Brasserie in Camden on Sunday, according to the Daily Mail.

The former Sharpe actor did not go to hospital, despite a cut arm and bruises on his face, instead opting to return to the pub for a drink, claims the report.

"Sean is a regular here and we've never had any problems before. He was with a very attractive woman and an incident occurred outside the bar," said a witness at the pub.

"He came in with a cut on his arm and a bruise on his eyebrow. We saw to his injuries with the first aid kit. He seemed okay and wanted to have another drink."

Bean's row allegedly centered on his 22-year-old glamour model friend April Summers, real name Nadia Foster, who was with him at the bar.

Summers, who has appeared in lads' magazines and Italian Playboy, was apparently heckled by a man. Bean, who has been married four times, challenged the passer-by and later in the evening was apparently punched and attacked with broken glass outside the pub.

Police were called to the incident, but neither they, Bean nor Summers have commented on the events.

Ned Stark wanted that drink
:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

I don't think HE knew she betrayed him. We as viewers did and that made his death at least for me that much more unsettling because he was willing to die for his honor and what he believed in. He only reconsidered when that fat Unick threatened his daughter's lifes.

i didnt remember that, cool...

:smh:, tryna take out ned IRL too, winter is coming for real.

A Game of Thrones

When her father became the Hand of the King, eleven-year old Sansa was delighted at the prospect of life at court in King's Landing, and thrilled to be betrothed to the handsome Prince Joffrey. She adored Joffrey in spite of his violent mood swings, and gave false testimony defending him against Arya, which resulted in the death of her own direwolf, Lady. She was dismayed when her father announced plans to send her home and end the betrothal. Still trusting those at the royal court to be noble, she told Queen Cersei of her father's plans to send her away, unwittingly aiding the queen's plot against Eddard. It was only when her father was beheaded at Joffrey's command that Sansa saw Joffrey for what he really was.

Yes, but Varys didn't know where Arya was and never told Ned that Sansa had betrayed him in the book. Just like in the show, he realized when he saw her standing with the royal court when they brought him to the septon to be beheaded. In the show, he saw Arya on the statue but in the book, she was too far in the crowd for him to see her

I was talking about Sansa...no where in my quote I said anything about Arya :hmm:

Yeah that was the saddest part, that little bastard made Ned look like a punk before he offed him. I can't wait til his head is on a stake.

so did he know or not, guess i've got to re-read it for myself.

I didn't say you did. But I figured I would give a complete answer since we were talking about the whole scene of Neds death, especially since what you said about Varys' info to Ned regarding Sansa was incorrect.

This is a case where the age difference between the books and the show start to cause problems. I can believe that an 11 year old would make be gullible when dealing with people over 3 times her age. But in the show sh'es supposed to 13 or 14 and that's a lot harder to believe she would be that gullible.

I'm trying not to re-read the series (wasn't exactly a fan of Martin's writing style and how he ended book 3 and his reasons for it). I think the only thing that I was unclear on was whether or not Lord Tywin knew that all of Cersei's kids were by Jaime...

The Lannister's and the Targaryen's have a long history of marrying within the family,so I wouldnt be surprised if he did.

Only the Targaryen's have a history of that. That's why Cersei justified her actions by saying that what her and Jaime did was no different that what the Targaryens have done for generations and the fact that she was so outraged when Stannis sent the letter to all the kings about the kids being Jaime's. That's why Tyrion keeps throwing subtle jabs about Cersei and Jaime relationships. I think Tywin would disapprove if he knew the truth

oh ok.....my bad

Im getting my shit wrong today

Haven't read the books, but after Ned's death, I decided that I won't be happy unless this series ends with the Targaryens coming back with dragons and scorching EVERYBODY in that bitch.

If honor and duty has no place in the world, and good men like Ned go out disgraced because they can't play the game, then the world of men needs to be FINISHED. If/When magic comes back and starts killing EVERYONE, then I'm GOOD. Fuck ALL the seven houses if it's just a bunch of politics, backstabbing, incest, and infighting. Let the dragons, white walkers, and dire wolves FEAST.

That said...GREAT show so far.

I have read all of the books and I've been waiting on the next book "A dance with dragons" which is self explanitory. My beef is that the only Black character is Belwas the slave that will protect Denaryis.

I love the HBO series and it is much better than Camelot on stars which is not better than Merlin that was on Scifi channel.:smh:

This is why I will not read or listen to the books - I love having a shocking scene each week of the show

Basically, somebody sort of spoiled it who was reading the book:smh:. i will come into this thread after the season finale.

Ya in the book Dany was surprised when she realized she wouldn't be marrying her brother...crazy ass shit

:smh: @ Duval's confirmation...that shit is fuckin crazy man!
