I can only speak for myself but...the first three episodes were boring as fuck.
They can release the next 6 for all I care.
HBO has gotta be pissed...they let DirecTV give us a free weekend of HBO to boost the ratings. The leaks cancelled that out.

- It has already been nominated for over 200+ Major TV Awards...
- Including 48 Emmys...
- And it is the most watched show in the HISTORY of HBO itself....
- And despite all THIS POSITIVE SHIT working in their favor.... with the HOTTEST SHOW ON TV.... those HBO Execs were STILL soooo fucking worried about 'ratings' that in order to 'generate more buzz'...... they sent out FREE copies of the first 4 episodes to a handful of 'TV Reporters' so that they could write-up some 'reviews' before Season 5 officially starts.
Whose fucking dumbass idea was that?
They need to get fired. Trying to get 'early reviews'.... is some shit you do before Season 1 starts, when nobody knows ANYTHING about your show....
That is NOT some shit you do after 4 Seasons of getting nominated for 50+ Emmy Awards & over 200+ major TV Awards. (Not if you got any cotdamn 'common sense', that is
)The show 'sells itself'... WITHOUT the 'opinions' of a few Hollywood jackasses who would write the same fucking review whether they got their hands on the show 2 weeks early, or watched it when it aired like everyone else.
So giving those writers 'free copies' is just a form of 'kissing their ass' to avoid them writing something negative.... because whoever did it has 'zero faith' in the tv show that their co-workers have created (despite all the accolades & awards)... and probably should not even be working at HBO in the 1st place.
They cannot blame the leaks.

There is very little 'to gain' by get a bunch of tv critics to write a 'review' article a few days early.... especially when you ALREADY have the hottest show on tv...
But there is A HELLUVA LOT 'to lose'.
If they never sent the footage out & the show still leaked out anyway... then they KNOW it was done 'in house' by somebody working for HBO.
(Which undermines all the hard work everyone has put into the show.)

This didn't hit stride this year until the 4th episode.
Tywin is obviously missing...maybe by design. Cersei strutting around pissing off the wrong people. Khalessi in over her head...with her people and her dragons. Arya just trying find out whats going on.
The most interesting story is Tyrion and his one liners...along with Snow at the Wall, yet John Snow is not exactly surrounded by allies because of his relationship with the wildlings.
HBO was worried about the slow build up. That's why they released 4 episodes to the reviews, so they could hype it.
I wish they could get the writers to add more episodes. They keep complaining about spending time with there wife's lol I bet its a money issue. Sunday should have been a two hour show (Episode 1 and 2)

I enjoyed the build up as well. Sansa's storyline has a lot of potential...especially since Jon Snow may still end up at Winterfell with Stanis one way or another. Arya straight gangsta in them streets now she bout to learn the secret no face shit. I think Cersei wants little finger in King's Landing cuz she needs allies...and she's either gonna make the mistake of thinking he is one or make the mistake of trying to set him out as an example to the new holy army to try to gain favor with them. Either way...Little Finger aint going out. Soon as he puts it on blast that she and Jaime are in fact Tommen's parents, the holy army will turn on her.

Yeah, the unsullied going out so easily is pretty underwhelming considering their rep. Getting cut by a whore with your eyes closed is one thing, but a full on fight you'd have assumed it would have ended differently.

I like Ser Beriston Selmy & Grey Worm. She fucked up killing ole dude. The compare and contrast with her killing dude and Jon Snow killing Janos Slint. Had Snow let Slint live after the insult it would have crumbled his entire ruling & fucked him royally, but if Daenerys would have let ole boy live he could have controlled the uprising over time. I kinda wanted the same thing, but Lord Commander Mormont had him as his steward because he saw leadership ability in him, not just fighting ability. Even though Jon was pissed he didn't get to be a fighter first off, Mormont always wanted him to be Lord Commander. If he was just dude #5, I think he might have taken the shot, but being Lord Commander he couldn't let...you know what, Jon Snow leans on his honor, so he might not have left regardless of whether he was Lord Commander or not.
