nigga you know they speak English in Westeros and Essos....quit bullshittin.
But why would a dude that doesn't speak english, in a country where most if the people don't speak it, write a message in english?
It seems as if it kind of applies to those who rule more than others.
Ned took over the duty from another...Theon took over the duty from another.
And as some have pointed out in the main thread, Rob may have been cursed by his actions because he killed a relative....thus the words "kill me and be cursed."
I thought that Dany was gonna snatch up the sword to cut Ron from a Different World's head off too....but she never stepped in.

I dont know why they did that...you made a good point. but its tv...just go with it.
because the people watching the show speak english, if they were to use all the different languages half the show would be in subtitles.
Bran and Sansa's story from the book was caught up at the end of last season...Arya,Tyrion,Daenerys and Jon's story may get caught up this season...
What I don't get is why,so many book readers are upset that the show will spoil,for them,when most of them been spoiling it for non-bookreaders,since the show began....
Not really to be honest they just flat out eliminated a few characters. In some areas they are caught up with the book but the book still is farther along. But again it doesn't even matter at this point because they are clearly diverting in major ways. As a bookreader myself, I like it

Why did the sand snakes kill the boat captain? Most deaths on here seem calculated but this just seemed like killing for killing sake considering he brought them info on a Lannister.
Sidenote: this show misses tywin. I'd watch a spinoff series showing Tywin in earlier days spitting insults and fucking with people's lives.

After rewatching the 2nd episode...it's just off when Jon gets offered to return to Winterfell as a Stark.
I mean, dude has been a bastard his whole life, the lowest on the totem pole in the family, given the runt of the direwolf litter...etc. He's offered to take the family name, go home, capture his home Winterfel, start his own family...become the Warden of the North...from the lowest position in the family, to the highest in the North. The show kind of rushed through that.

Ned Stark raised Jon like a son... so there was never indecision nor doubt in Jon's mind as to the right action. The pain of doing whats right, in this case keeping his oath, denying his dream of finally becoming a Stark, is the only thing that slowed Jon's answer

They need to do a prequel series or movie based on the earlier days of the mad king and others rise to prominence and power. That could be epic if it was done right.
bronn alluded to the possibility that the boat captain might sell them out...which I'm guessing is what he actually tried to do...not volunteer the info out of the kindness of his heart...so they figured why pay when we can torture you...find out what you know and discard of you...as proud as they are I can totally see them being offended by/untrusting of someone trying to sell them information
