Good point. Sometimes the more unorthodox the better. Gamboa reminds me of Meldrick Taylor. I remember when Georgie Benton started working with him on head movement after his initial professional fights showed his defense was bad. He display great elusiveness in a bout against Cubanito Perez , but later reverted back to his poor defensive ways against Chavez and, well we know the rest. I wouldn't be surprised if Gamboa's career went similar.
