“In the Summer time it’s killing season, it’s hot out this bitch that’s a good enough reason” – 50 Cent on “Heat”

Summer time is here and the G-Unit General is turning up the heat!

50 Cent recently dropped Animal Ambition, reunited with his G-Unit la familia at Summer Jam 2014 and locked in a release date for Street King Immortal.

Say what you want to about 50 Cent, but he has been creating his own lane in the music industry for years. Rewind back to the late '90s and early '00s and you won’t find a beat Fif didn’t touch. Not only did he remix the majority of your favorite Hip Hop joints, he did it better than the original artist. To show our love and appreciation for the Southside Jamaica, Queens emcee, we have put together some of the best 50 Cent Remixes that are as good as the original (or better).

I can't be listening to them 50 Cent is the Future tracks. Shit make a nigga wanna relapse. Those G Unit mixtape days was one of my favorite moments in hip hop. This was my theme song back in them days...

That Slum Village "tainted" remix should be up here. I also think the remix they did of De La Soul's "Baby Fat" should be listed. Those were two of the most fun songs from my junior/senior years of high school.

I have a story that I occasionally share about the G-Unit remix of "The Blast". Back in high school I used to deal with 50's now estranged baby mother's younger sister. This was not too long after he got shot up, and he would be at her house all of the time. I was actually on the phone with her when he first heard the original Talib Kweli version. I remember how hype it made him. Good times, man.
