Funny story for the board and a legal question.

One of the kids I mentored in college became a manager @ Amazon. He supervises the drivers. He's fired a few drivers in the past months, and he called me to tell me that he had to fire another one today, and the reason was crazy. One of his drivers dropped off a package to a lady that was sitting on the porch with her baby daughter. He looked down and told her that she had beautiful feet and would she let him take a picture of her feet. It gets better. She let him. Then this fool put the pix online, without asking and sent her the link. :smh: Her husband ended up seeing the pix. I don't know her husband's name, but I'm guessing it ain't Bullet, because dude went ballistic and contacted Amazon, which led to the firing.

Here's my question: Since he did all of this without her permission (posting them) while he was in uniform and on duty, did he open Amazon up to a possible lawsuit?

You can sue anybody for anything these days so I'd say yes. People have squeezed money out of companies for less.

Amazon might give them a settlement just to avoid the bad press when the story hit the public.

Not a lawyer but studying to be one

Even if its a bullshit lawsuit Amazon will still have to pay money to pay lawyers to fight and defend until district courts throw it out.

Heres my non legal .02 cents
Amazon wil be held accoountable as a co-defendant.
Civil suits are very different from criminal complaints
and do not require the same level of proof or evidence.
Unless Amazon can get dismissed from the case, they will be paying out a claim.
They probably wont get a dismissal since the driver was there on their behalf and excercised neglegance.
The problem for Amazon will be that they hired him and there will be the question of background and referance
investigations during pre employment which will only be done through discovery in the process of case preperation.
Even if the wife was a willing participant she didnt consent to having the pics exposed
There could also be criminal charges for posting the pics without permission because
A good lawyer could easily say those pis were of a sexual / fetish nature thereby making him a sex offender if convicted.

If the wife claims she did give not him permission that he asked she said no and he sneaked to do it?

And if that baby is even in the background of any pictures on his phone?

And she felt he posted them as a threat?

Or says he knew she was married she wasn't interested she was scared of him especially with the baby present and LET HIM take the pictures so he could leave them alone?

Yeah Amazon and him could have a serious issue.

I can be accused of having "idiosyncrasies" just like everyone else: Titty fetish... Ass fetish, yep. But the foot fetish thing, I just don't get it.

A female friend of mine was visiting Philadelphia, and she said a bus driver told her that he liked her sandals and that she had some pretty feet. She said that the whole ride consisted of her looking out of the window, and this MoFo going on and on about her feet.

She said that she went the whole ride clutching onto her bear spray.

Probably depends on the amount they sue for.

I know with the city of Detroit they have an unwritten policy any suit under $10k is settled because that's the minimum cost to go to trial.

Oh, shit. I didn't consider that last part. If she plays the "felt threatened" card, he's royally fucked. Before anyone asks, he doesn't know what color the woman is. He said he was only given the complaint.

First .... wow.
You sure the employee isn't a board member?
To your question, Amazon has lawyers on retainer and money reserves to make small problems like this disappear without ever seeing a news cycle.
This is the fact..... This will be over in a matter of weeks

There is not a credible plaintiff’s lawyer that would take that case. Too many variables. Who is suing? The husband or the wife? She was down with it apparently.

I don't know.

Depending on the woman's story?

And publicity potential?

Amazon would rather just pay this off

We in some crazy times. Yes dude shouldn't of done it. But this husband really upset cause her foot is online?

A foot?

Nothing else visible? Where's the harm?

What the real question is, is how did he have her number to send her the link to it online after the fact?

Wife seems to of been creeping? Then felt uncomfy after?

Like if she never told the hubby, who would of known in the world that that's her hoof?

As for the suit, Amazon would pay to settle if they want to sue, you know they would in this day and age. Any hungry lawyer would take that case for a quick paycheck.

That’s an easy, yes. The pics stemmed from his on-duty activities. Husband sound like a sucka though. Not on some Bullet shit, but how you checking Amazon when your bitch out here hoeing her toes out to random delivery guys?

He's a weirdo for taking feet pics of strangers and she's a weirdo for allowing him. The husband mad because if the Amazon driver sent her the link that means they exchanged numbers and probably been flirting and ready to fuck

I've had amazon drivers call my cell to let me know my shit would be there soon.
Then that's really on some creepy stalker chit on his part.

He should of posted his foot fetish pic on BGOL like the other heathens and not sent her a link. He crossed the line.

If she didn't deliberately give her the digits, then he what, saved her number from all the deliveries through the day and sent her that? That's bananas

He could have fucked I’m sure. Feet are the dumbest fetish I can think of. I honestly don’t get it. He should have fucked it would have been more worth the firing.

Well #1 he took the pic so he owns the copyright, he would only really need her consent if he posted it online to make money. So she could sue, but she probably wouldn't win unless he somehow defamed her or something like that.

The other day I had something delivered & was in the shower so the amazon driver left it at the door & I had a missed call from the driver. So they do call at times when making deliveries.

I guess it depends on the story she tells. I didn't think about what @playahaitian posted. If she says she felt unsafe, she could milk this cash cow. If she's white, :itsawrap:

She could do that, but if it went to court or an arbitrator then she'd have to perjure herself (if she did in fact give him consent to take the pic).

Hey Chuck.....there's a section on Reddit just for leagal questions. I bet we'd get some funny answers there. Can I post it there?

From what he told me, she did. But, if she says she did it out of fear, this shit could go anywhere.

Consenting to a pic in public view, as opposed to taking a pic and posting it on a fetish site, is some revenge porn type stuff. And today that's major.

She can consent to the pic, but usage and she was unaware, along with without a release form, he and Amazon are up chits creek.

If he posted it on a site for monetary gain he'd need consent &/or if it was on a site that could defame her or if people would know it's her. If it's just her feet, unless she has some sort of identifying marking etc no one would know it's her feet. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out. She could have actually been cool with all of it, especially the way some of these attention starved broads are & only got upset when her husband got pissed.

I wish he knew how the hubby saw the pix, but he doesn't know.
