From 10 percent to 100 percent costs me about 6 dollars, at home. At DC fast chargers, that same fillup would cost about $18-25 dollars.
My girl is about to cop a Nissan EV in the next couple months.
In a few weeks, we both will be charging for free at home when our solar panels officially come online.

With the price of electricity going up because of these data centers, getting solar is a smart move. The green tax credits are gone because of the orange idiot, but it wouldn't hurt to add solar to supplement some of your energy use.

I haven't paid attention to gas prices in well over 2 decades. Not a flex, I just have way too much going on to worry about something that I am going to have to purchase.

I think it started under Obama but I'm not sure. Up until December 31st 2025, the federal government gave home owners who put solar energy or any green energy equipment on their home, got a 30 percent credit on their income tax on equipment AND instalation cost when you filed your taxes for that year.
We spent a little over 21K for equipment and instalation and i just got back over 7 grand from our gubment by filling out the green energy form!
Trump killed that program and it ended a couple months ago. Hater trump HAS to undo EVERYTHING Obama and Biden has done... he can't help himself.
