Frito-Lay workers in Kansas are being forced to work 12-hour days, 7 days a week, in a dangerous factory.

man they can try to move it to mexico if they want and try to get back on track. COVID messed all of these businesses up because they can't catch back up. I work for Nabisco and it doesn't matter where or how big the factories are right now, everyone is behind and they need to treat folks better and accept it and not try to get those sales again.

Well said.

They will be fine.. its contract time.. they probably been bump9ng heads with the company for a minute not getting anywhere. So the union decided to take everything public and use it to their advantage!! Go go union workers!!

Bringing jobs from Mexico and other places means that these companies try to move to small towns where they can take advantage of the community :dunno:

I don't really give a fuck, because a lot of them are Republican

"Cryin' bitches!!!"

.

Okay that was funny

I saw a video a few months back talking about the meat packing industry and how a lot of food manufacturers intentionally place these plants in rural areas where there aren't many other jobs. Most people in those areas don't have many employment options.
I came in here to say this.. could never do this in a place with lots of employment opportunities

not reading until you answer this - they got guns to their heads or people behind them with whips?

You're really gonna sit here and act like this multi-national corporation doesn't have those people by the groin?

It's probably one of the biggest employers in the area, let alone the whole state who holds the position of, "Where else are you gonna go?"

Nobody is holding a gun to the heads of Pepsi-Co's management either. Either improve conditions or the plant is gonna suffer and fuck up their precious profit margin ANYWAY.

They are union already, Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers' International. Worked with them some time ago; never seen a union that was in bed so much with management to its own members demise. :smh:
Most of the unions had to sleep with the business to stay alive. Apparently there is a nursing aid strike planned for the phila region in a couple days.

victim mentality bullshit.

nope. they don't have to do shit. it's their company. move or go somewhere else. next time, focus on your education, invest your money, learn how to hustle while having a job, and never depend on a job ever, especially in this day in age. the job doesn't owe you shit. they didn't move there just for you. it's your job to take care of yourself.

Bullshit is exactly what that statement is. Tell that to the Sharecroppers past. They didn't put that plant in KS because they needed tech wizzes...they needed the cheapest labor, land and infrastructure, and favorable tax breaks that they could get. What side hustle do you think they can come up with in the middle of KS besides shucking corn Bruh?

That ain't no advance game Bruh. Y'all just don't seem to have a problem with all the money flowing up to the top. Fuck the worker, his family, and his quality of life, huh?

Y'all sound like y'all run the Company Store.

How do you think Mex...

Who do you think this plant mostly hires? It’s Kansas, do you think white people (good, hard working Americans) are finding it difficult to work those shifts?

more excuses.

unless they don't have internet in KS, you really don't have an argument,

it's not their job to provide for you, it's your job as a man to provide for your family.

The demographics have no bearing on personal responsibility. No one should depend on a job. If the job market is garbage, move.

Gotcha Bruh. I wish you lived there. This shit is akin to an ecosystem and one species relies on the next for shit to operate properly.

It's not their job to be worked to the point of exhaustion for the sake of a fuckin' CEO and Stockholder's excessive salaries either.

You act like that workforce ain't providing shit for the family of the upper management. You make this shit seem ONE WAY, as though Frito fucking Lay is providing employment out of benevolence or some shit. It's give and take, and they ain't giving what they should be.
