This is a good thread. I hate I have not been actively using this section of BGOL. But, anyway I have a couple of questions. My blog has been up over 2 years now. At the height of the blog I was getting about 300 unique hits a day. I haven't written anything in it in about 6 months, but I still get traffic from all over because of the positioning of my site on google. I get tons of hits from all over the world from older articles I wrote about.

I would like to move the blog to my own domain. It is currently on blogsome. My first question is, if I move it to my own domain, will I lose my rankings with google and other search engines for the old articles? The reason I ask is that I have a stat tracker on the site and my site comes up for so many searches it's crazy.

Secondly, you mention using adsense and a few other affiliate programs. What is there stance typically with adult content. Adult topics about sex, but no porn. Will they not be affiliated with sites that have adult content?

You'll get banned for using Adsense on pages with adult content. An alternative would be to use adbrite.com or blacklabelads.com.

its good. add a ton more google adsense. like on the right maybe at the top or at the bottom. you can also add adsense within that middle section where the content is located.

for some reason i can see some of the codes for the flv files. you might need to tighten up the coding. i would say save the whole site and database if you're gonna start fuckin aroudn with the codes. with the database and with the files saved, if you make an error you can just wipe out that install, do a fresh install and insert your database back in.

my database is saved daily for this sorta thing LOL

otehrwise i think the site is great, the idea is great, and you always have fresh content coming up. nice job

Although there's some free hosts, your content doesn't stay your content cuz your free host (like blogger, blogsome, blogcities, wordpress.com, etc) might pull your shit. So, it's probably a wise decision to blow that $100 or so on cheap hosting. Plus, using wordpress or a custom install gives you the ability to fully customize your shit.

Ingredients:

2) Free blog software. The most common and powerful one is Wordpress. Which means it's really all good...... the only problem I see with that is... there are only so many Ad servers... so if you sign up with too many... you not gonna make too much.. cause you can't get ads from CPX, Doubleclick or Google from each network... only from one .. I think that's how it's stated in the IO.
So I would sign up with as many as I can... then check the CPM rates and go with who's paying the most. That way you can always shift to move to the higher paying account.....
