I responded to you. Your blog is cool. The only things you could add in my opinion would be aesthetic changes. I think your main banner need an upgrade. It's a bit plain. Your right field area on your site has a lot of blank space. I would fill that with some widgets or text link ads. Since you write for a major magazine and do some radio, you should look into getting more sponsors. On those points alone, you could charge a ton for ad space. Way more than that little Google check you're receiving. P.S. Add me to your Blogroll bra, I'll do the same.....

I definitely have to agree. I search for lyrics sometimes, and I know if the internet was big when Busta Rhymes and Bone came out, a page would receive many, many MANY hits! :D D town always drops the truth, so you peeps pay attention.

VERY true. My biggest search engine referrer is folks looking for "Superman That Hoe" :lol:

I wrote an entry making fun of the videos of people doing the Soulja Boy dance back when it first got big, and two months later, I still get a shitload of views from that one entry.

Very false!!! Google John Chow, Jeremy Palmer, Darin Carter, Shoemoney, and Darren Rowse. I can list more but that enough to show proof that you can make real money from this!!!!
 
guys unless if you know what you're doing or have sites optimised for high paying keywords, I suggest you stop messing with adsense. Try alternatives like Adbrite, etc they are more straightforward and dont have as much restrictions as Adsense who restric porn, gambling etc. The good thing with adbrite in particular is you can easily work out how much you can earn per month. All you have to do is increase your Alexa traffic ranking and you will have top paying advertisers begging to get a placement on your site. Increase your Alexa ranking can be done using blackhat methods - pm me for more info. Dont pm me if you're not into blackhat - I know some people think its very unethical but I think if you can balance your whitehat, greyhat and blackhat methods, you can come good with it without tainting your reputation.
 
yeah im using Adsense now..cant say im too happy with it at the moment.

I have a blog(The Kaos Effect) and im not receiving anything from adsense really. I've had it up for about a week so i dont expect to gain anything immediately. Figure i will have it up for a month before i decide to consider another service.

I average out to about 200 unique visits a day. Im currently trying to increase traffic with small success(digg,stumbleupon,theurbanblogger, etc.)

Any suggestions/helpful tips would be greatly apreciated.

Dont think i really want to get iinto BlackHat. Whitehat and/or GreyHat solutions would be helpful

you need to get a hosting package.

i use siteground for my photo blog ( www.grayfilm.com )

then you need to install some kind of software like wordpress. wordpress is the blogging software that you install on your site so that you can start blogging. its free.

the hosting packgages will range in price but should not cost you $100 per year. hopefully your blogging will give you that money back

what software (wordpress, pixelpost, joomla, movable type) would be ideal and what template/theme would you have in mind? holla. i've been searching for almost a week for a combination of cms and template but have not found one.
