Sup y'all, I see there's a similar thread here and I wanted to add some tips and pointers from my eBook - but then it would probably be too long so I figured I'd just give it away to anyone that wants it.

I got started off a free eBook, and I sell this one on eBay from time to time for $9.99. I don't mind giving it away for free on here because I pick up at least 1 piece of knowledge for free everytime I visit this board.

In the eBook, I have some coupons and stuff like that that will save you dough on essential services like choosing a host etc.

If you want the book, just send me a pm. I'll give it to anyone who asks.

Now you might be wondering where's the catch, ok here's mine (and it's not really a catch at all) The goal of the eBook was not so much to make money - but to build a super networking group of like minded folks who would help each other out by sending traffic to one another's sites via social networking services like Digg, StumbleUpon etc. You buy the book, you get added to the online network which everyone has access too.

Trust me, all those cats who get to the front page of digg have help from their friends to give them that initial push.

So in the end, it's not really a catch at all - because it's part of what I discuss in the eBook in terms of building traffic. If you just build it, they will not come. You need to push it out there.

Some people don't know what to blog about. I touch on that in my eBook.

Note, if you get this free eBook you will not be added to the paying online network, I will create a BGOL network and the way to access one another will be by MSN messenger. WHenever you need traffic just holla at whoever's signed in.

You'll be better off posting a link to the book and a link to your blog. Continuously sending unsolicited email is known as spamming.

If people like the content of your blog, they will subscribe. On th other hand, spamming will automatically shed a negative light on your blog. No matter how good it is.

Anikulapo - the book is not online, if you re-read my original post I said I sell the eBook exclusively on eBay.

I don't understand how this is spam, it's not unsolicited because you are asking for it by requesting a copy of the eBook.

As a matter of fact I just sent you a copy, read it then come back here and give your honest opinion.

Like I said, I got started with a free eBook, I'm just paying it forward. I make my money from eBay, affiliate marketing, PPC programs, text link ads, company sponsorship, kontera content-link and paid reviews.

Actually, I'd call that advertising! :)
The ebook has some good info. I would add a few illustrations or screen caps and mention how users can customize their websites using online templates.

The blog idea is also interesting but I would make it a blog about cocktails and focus on that audience. I would then add a post or two on "gadgets & more" every now and again. Good luck!
 
You're missing the point entirely.

It's not about cocktails - thats just an example to show how you can write about anything at all. Someone can take that and flip that into a sneaker blog, a food blog, a basketball blog, a soccer blog, an urban culture blog etc.

Liquor (i.e. cocktails) works for me - you're supposed to use the info and apply it to what works for you.
 
It's simple. If it's as good as you say it is, just share the thing by posting a link. Asking for peeps to send you a PM is only stroking your ego.

I see why you were all secretive...because this guide is basically bullshit. And people were buying this? It's nothing more than a summary of what can be gotten online for free! In fact, most sites tell you this information. 22 pages? John Chow, Yaro Starak and 2007 Authority Black Book all have guides with waaaay more information not only completely free, but over 50 pages each!

Now this guide is great for the senior citizen who needs something concise and doesn't want to search for beginner info, but man this lil thing can't make anyone any serious money. You gotta come with something better in 2007 bruh.

Coolio, I'm not really going to get into it with you. Obviously you are just trying to get publicity for your site by trying to knock other people down. Do you think you're the only person who knows how to make money online? So basically nobody else is allowed to have an opinion because you have a site online, one of the millions online that talks about how to make money online. That's that fucking crab mentality.

My eBook is what it is, a manual for $9.99. Yes people do buy it and people will buy it, because anytime you have knowledge that someone else doesn't and want they will pay you for it. My eBook on tax sale investing that I sell for $24.99 at www.taxlienresearch.com There are other people selling you the same info for $300 and their shit is full of filler material! I get straight down to the business.

I wasn't being secretive about nothing, this was a totally free giveaway, I never at any point asked anyone to buy my shit. You ain't the first person to make money online, and you ain't gon be the last. Instead of trying to build you trying to knock the next man down. You just played yourself to the world dude.

I make a majority of my income from a niche in a billion dollar industry using all the techniques in my eBook. That cocktail blog is what I do for fun, and it's still turning a profit and is quickly become a respected authority in my niche. I was just trying to show people that this can be done, whether it's about cocktails, motorcycles, boating, whips, real estate blogs whatever.

But I guess it's either Cooliojones way or the highway huh? No dude, that is not my main site and I am not going to disclose my main site. That site is what I do for fun. All the techniques/programs etc in my eBook are what worked for me.

It's this crab mentality from people like you cooliojones that's killing us a people. I'm not even going to respond to any bullshit you attempt to come back at me with because I'd rather use that energy on my other projects. If you're reading this and you're really about something positive, let's build then.

You missed the whole point obviously stone. You should have just gave it away IN THE POST from the beginning, instead of asking for PM's. Do you even understand how marketing works? You don't come on a free message board asking for special treatment. The regulars here post the information freely, they don't ask you to do extra work. I have posted several of my post here free, and even if I do include a link, it goes straight to the information so as not to take up a whole lotta space on the site.

Only reason I ripped into you was because of the fake hype. I see the same thing over and over on the internet by 15,898 people and I know if I've seen it, many others have.

Crab mentality doesn't apply here. Basically I would want anyone to produce the best content they can, THEN advertise it. And I get more hits daily, I don't need to wait for you to post to scheme a way to get more. I just want people here to have the best info possible, and learn from what's already out there. So I'll be looking forward to your Volume II Advanced Techniques coming soon, right?

Things like this is one of the reasons I started doing inspirational posts on Mondays, because you want to EXPOSE yourself as much as possible, and GIVE FREELY so you can create some VALUE. Think about the end user. What do they have to do to get your material? Make it easy for them. When you understand that, you'll understand where I was coming from.
