Forced to live the rest of his life in the dreaded "3rd world" Let go of your fears!

I did not know Mexico was considered third world. But everyman controls his surroundings. During the sixties we went into jails and had to transform those realities into something else. It is all about finally getting a piece of this earth that we take from satan (whites) and dominate it. The whole earth was ours in the beginning. There was no rulers or kings and queens over others because everybody was in their right minds then. And only blacks existed then. My job is so hard because it is my job to take the earth back and return life back to it's original state.

Ajijic, Mexico is on my radar too,, were there any Black people residing there,,, why did you leave,,

The term 3rd world has no definition. It did decades ago and really had nothing to do directly how well the country was keeping up or how the people were living. It just meant your country was not part of either NATO nor the Communist Bloc. Somewhere along the line people started using the term to define developing countries that were more or less fighting to catch up with the rest of the world. Mexico has it's troubles but Mexico is FAR more advanced and sophisticated than most amerikkkans think it is.

Are you Grenadian?
GRENADA GRENADA GRENADA ! If you're going to move to the islands that's the only place to go. You get all the benefits of island living without the crime and violence of Jamaica and Trinidad. 90% black, great educational system, strongest internet infrastructure in the Antilles, stable government, no covid, good food, direct flights to the states, best carnival, boat ride away from Trinidad and south America. The only drawback is US currency is not aggressively strong there.

I would like to retire to barbados, but its too damn expensive.
I would have to do 3-4 barrels a year, and probably still spend sometime here.

Life is what you make it,you create your heaven or hell
Maybe if you're playing on a level playing field without the government together with the majority population hell bent on taking your rights, denying you equality, excluding you out of the financial loop, seeing to it that generation after generation you and yours gets a sub standard education, poor healthcare. To claim that "life is what you make it" ignores the challenges put before us that no other amerikkkans had to overcome. Life has been hell for MOST Blacks in amerikkka since the 1600's and we didn't create it.

America is not a 3rd world country.

You do not know the definition.

What is the definition of a third world country? In many countries, when people hear the phrase “third world country”, visions of impoverished countries struggling to meet basic human needs are the first to pop up. This might be true in today’s society, but the original definition of a third world country referred to the nations that lacked an alliance with either the U.S. or the former Soviet Union during the Cold War.

In recent years, the term has come to define countries that have high poverty rates, economic instability and lack basic human necessities like access to water, shelter or food for its citizens. These countries are often underdeveloped, and in addition to widespread poverty, they also have high mortality rates.
Definition of a Third World Country Underlying Meaning

In terms of the “worlds” system, they are ranked from first world to third world. The first world refers to the countries that are more developed and industrialized societies; in other words, capitalist societies that aligned with the U.S. and NATO during the Cold War. This includes North America, Japan, Western Europe and Australia.

Second world countries refer to the countries that lean more toward a socialist society, and generally were allied with the Soviet Union during the Cold War. These countries include Russia, Poland, China and some Turk states.

Third world countries are all the other countries that did not pick a side. This includes most of Africa, Asia and Latin America. However, this definition includes countries that are economically stable, which does not fit the currently accepted definition of a third world country.

As a society, the term “third world country” refers to countries with high mortality rates, especially infant mortality rates. They also have an unstable and inconsistent economy. These are countries that contain massive amounts of poverty and in some cases have fewer natural resources than other nations throughout the world. These countries often have to rely on more industrialized countries to aid them and help stabilize their economy.

These countries usually lack economic stability because of the lack of a functioning class system. Usually, the country will have an upper class and a lower class. Without a middle class to fill the gap, there is almost no way for a person to escape poverty because there is no next step for them on the economic ladder. This also allows the wealthy to control all the money in the country. This is detrimental to the economy of the country, and both increases and helps to sustain the poverty running rampant throughout the country while allowing the upper class to keep their wealth to themselves.

These countries often accrue a copious amount of debt from foreign countries because of the constant aid they need from other countries to keep their economy afloat and provide some financial stability to the citizens of the country.

The definition of a third world country has evolved from the political meaning during the Cold War to the economic meaning of today. Today’s meaning refers to countries that are in financial trouble and need help from other countries to keep their economy sustainable, at least for a short time.

I always use the term "developing country" .... seems less demeaning.

I'm not even going to touch on that my little statement was geared more towards those who are set on finding heaven somewhere other than where their at and they may never find it but I wish them the best in searching for it.

The reason I left 3 years ago is I predicted a time coming in the very near future where the US falls off it's high horse. It's already in motion, the middle class is QUICKLY disappearing..... food shortages predicted for next year, bad things are coming. But I hope I'm wrong.

Yea we have always thought of 3rd world countries as poor underprivileged countries. I used to always wonder how third world countries starved to death while we threw away tons of food.

That is the definition. Idiots are using the phrase wrong to mean "poor countries".
That is like saying Africa has no definition because people keep thinking it is a country.

No, it has a definition. Learn it!

No it doesn't have a definition, Tent, the Communist Bloc no longer exists.

Wiki: "The Eastern Bloc, also known as the Communist Bloc, the Socialist Bloc and the Soviet Bloc, was the group of communist states of Central and Eastern Europe, East Asia, and Southeast Asia under the hegemony of the Soviet Union (USSR) that existed during the Cold War (1947–1991) "

WIKIPEDIA: "The term "Third World" arose during the Cold War to define countries that remained non-aligned with either NATO or the Warsaw Pact. Canada, Japan, South Korea, Western European nations and their allies represented the First World, while the post-Soviet Union countries, China, Cuba, and their allies represented the Second World. It is being replaced with terms such as developing countries, least developed countries or the Global South. The concept itself has become outdated as it no longer represents the current political or economic state of the world.

Senegal= French language but a pic in front of the Renaissance statue in Dakar is a bucket list buster. Hope I get there in a year or two. Will stop in the gam and bang some beach hookers while I'm that close. Panama and CR Spanish needs to be tight to get most out of your trip.... Belize not so big a deal.
The statue is impressive in person. When I went there the elevator was down so I didn't get to go to the top inside the crown.

Only problem in Dakar are the little kids. They will pick your pocket if you're not watching. For a Muslim country you will feel safe and you can drink alcohol there. The women there are also pretty if you're looking for chicks. I only spent a few hours at a time while I was there as we had to get back to the boat.

i HAVE TICKETS RIGHT NOW TO GO IN j... sorry..... anuary but it isn't likely gonna happen. I bought the tickets many months ago thinking the Covid thing would be better by January... it wont be.... I might have braved it if I only had to fly in Africa, but I gotta go thru the US and I'm just not going to the US right now. Was flying into Dakar, with a side trip to Cape Verde (expensive) considering its so close, then I went crazy trying to figure how to get to Banjul The Gam from Dakar again ....... I saw how much shit Wode Maya and his girl went thru to make that short trip... having to sleep outside and the fucked up ferry boat.... so I left that part of the trip open. Maybe later in the year or 2022 if Im still kicking. I want that pic on the stairs of the Renaissance Monument I don't really need the trip up to the museum inside. The views are shitty, as Senegal is pretty monotone. Greece is like that, everything just Ancient pewter white. BTW don't go there, not a great stop. That's the look of Senegal to me. Since my wife hasn't spoken to me in months, I feel I have every excuse to drill all the hookers I want in Banjul at the mind numbing bargain prices. Give the bitch something to really be mad about.

If you had to live in the 3rd world where would it be?

I did, and never looked back. In fact, I’ve now lived three countries that might be considered third-world.
I left the USA in 2011 at age 60 to retire to Ajijic, Mexico. It’s a beautiful little Mexican village, sandwiched between some pretty impressive mountains and Lake Chapala - Mexico’s largest lake. It’s home to some spectacular sunrises and sunsets, a wonderful climate year-round, and a thriving community of American and Canadian expats. Here’s a sunset view from my furnished rental home - a 2 bedroom 2 bath literal art gallery of a home with a heated swimming pool on the side of a mountain. Monthly rental little more than what you’d pay for a nice 1BR apartment in any decent sized American city.

I absolutely loved almost everything about Ajijic. It seemed like heaven on earth to me, on a Social Security budget. Great people, great restaurants, Guadalajara International Airport 45 minutes away…. oh hell, I could go on for an hour about what to love about Ajijic!
But, when traveling to SE Asia in 2014 I happened upon Ubud, Bali. During my first evening there I went to a cultural dance performance at a Balinese Hindu temple. Breathtaking. (Guess which one is me, following the dance performance on my first night in Bali).
main-qimg-e8464db3fbb2ca7f3feea1c72d9250eb.jpg

Two days later there was a cremation ceremony for the King of Ubud, who had died sometime earlier. It was the most amazing spectacle of my life, where hundreds of men lifted the king’s 80-foot-high ceremonial stand on their shoulders and ran with it over 5 kilometers to the site where he was cremated.

In between those two events I had attended several other local gatherings and befriended several very interesting people from around the world. I decided to remain in Bali rather than return to Mexico. My only worldly possessions were those that I had in my backpack. I called my friends back in Mexico and told them to sell, give away or keep everything else I had left behind. I found I could live very comfortably with only what I could carry on my back.
I loved everything about Bali - the sacredness of the Balinese Hindu traditions, the beauty of nature, the international community of outstanding and interesting people, the simple yet elegant home I was able to rent at less than $400/month. The temples and rice terraces were amazingly sacred and beautiful - as were the beaches everywhere.

Speaking of beaches
When living on a tourist visa in Bali, you must leave the country every 60 days, then restart the clock on another 60 days when you return. Lots of people would get a same-day, round-trip flight to Singapore. But for my visa runs, I chose to explore other countries in SE Asia - Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
I traveled to Boracay Island on the Philippines - which Conde Nast Magazine calls one of the world’s most beautiful beaches. I have to agree. Every sunset there is a picture of perfect serenity.
main-qimg-0f3ad1a5ac19595b2db4d4743abd8bf6.jpg

And then something unexpected happened. I met an amazing Philippine woman while in Boracay. She took my breath away with her beauty, her fun nature, emotional maturity and compassionate heart. She came back to Bali with me for a one-month visit then returned to the Philippines. I followed her one month later.

Three years later, we live in a new, furnished 2 bedroom 2 bath condo overlooking a pool, banana and coconut trees, the ocean, and the next island over. For about half the cost of an American 1 bedroom apartment.

We take advantage nearly every day of the excellent climate and amazing natural beauty of this area - waterfalls, mountain streams, beautiful beaches, hot springs, world-class scuba diving. We live an upscale lifestyle on my Social Security income.
main-qimg-f02dc720a3110049fdd731944d0c5661.png

This lifestyle isn’t for everybody.
I’m a long way from the USA, so it’s neither convenient nor inexpensive to visit family and friends.
Driving here is about as screwed up as anywhere I’ve been - no enforcement, thus no adherence to traffic laws.
Sometimes the power goes out unexpectedly.
The internet is neither as reliable nor as fast as I’d like.
I have to go to both a grocery store and a local market to buy groceries, fish, fruits and vegetables. A lunatic must be in charge of grocery stocking, because I never know if something I bought last week will still be on offer this week; if it is, it’ll probably be in a different aisle.
So if you’re hung up on convenience, don’t even think of leaving the USA for a third-world country.
But I wouldn’t trade my life for anyone else’s in the world. I’m the happiest man on earth.

You are TRULY living free.... bruh.. the confirmation you were free, when you said you had everything you need in your back pack...

I still use it, but I try not to when I don't need to. I feel like a prick speaking of a country in that term while I'm here as a guest. Although I have heard Belizeans call their own country 3rd world a couple times. I'm always on my best behavior in the countries of others cause everything you do they'll judge Black amerikkkans by it. I'm sure I have interacted with people who I may be the only Black amerikkkan they'll ever see. Most tourists never get off the tourist path... I get out in the sticks in Black countries, not so much in white.

Never been to Indonesia boss, never been anyplace in Asia! Been places in europe, caribbean, latin america and Africa but never asia. If I ever go it will be Thailand. I have a very well travelled FB friend named Walter Ray, he's a Black travel author and been far more places than I. He assures me that if I only go one place in Adi, I will appreciate Pattaya Thailand the best. Originally I thought of seeing the P.I. and he said I'd not like it there. I trust the guy, as we have similar lives.

I'm two years away from being out. I'm going to remain a US citizen, but I'll be spending at least half the year outside of this country. 3 months here, 3 months there. That's my plan. I'm looking forward to getting back to Africa and Vietnam the most.

Sounds about right. I'll be asking you some questions as my time gets closer.
