Of course most of ya'll know that or have that suspicion. Not with outside deals bringing in this type of dough. Hell Kendrick Lamar better be concerned. Dre will have on the shelf collecting dust. In Dre's eyes why tarnish a brand if the album doesnt live up to the hype. A 9 figure year without producing music.

Although her OWN cable network is struggling for ratings, the Big O is still queen of bringing in the green.

Oprah Winfrey raked in $165 million from May 2011 to May 2012 and landed at No. 1 on Forbes' new list of highest-paid celebrities.

At No. 2 is director Michael Bay, who earned $160 million for "Transformers: Dark of the Moon."

Rounding out the top five are: Steven Spielberg ($130 million, No. 3), Jerry Bruckheimer ($115 million, No. 4), and Eminem's rap mentor, Dr. Dre ($110 million, No. 5).

Other celebs rolling in the dough include Tyler Perry ($105 million, No. 6), Howard Stern ($85 million, No. 7), and Simon Cowell ($90 million, No. 10).

At this point I don't think anyone really gives a fuck. And that's coming from a die hard west coast rap fan.

theres no thinking about it, dre is the last thing on anybodies mind when it comes to musical releases. he waited way to long and missed that window of opportunity when it was wide the fuck open for him. fuck detox, if that shit dropped tomorrow i probably wouldnt even bootleg it

Wait he made that just last year? Yea we never getting Detox. And how the fuck Michael Bay make so much off Transformers when he just directed the bitch? And Tyler Perry? Man what the fuck? So does he just rake in all his Box Office money? Just 100% of profits? Don't gotta pay nobody shit? Unbelievable.

Forbes states: ''Dre didn't earn that money from the recording industry, though - it's from his Beats by Dr. Dre headphones. Last August handset maker HTC paid $300 million for a 51 per cent stake in the company, which he co-founded with Interscope Chief Jimmy Iovine in 2006. It's a pretty good haul but one that Dre is unlikely to repeat next year.''

That whole era relied on shock value and ignorant behavior.

it was shocking to us to hear about niggas killing niggas for
whatever dumb ass reason as if it was a form of rebellion.

there is nothing a nigga can say that is shocking at this point.:smh:

faggots rap about men in hip hop now :smh:

And Snoop one of the OGs of rap gave it a thumbs up.

:itsawrap:

I think most people don't care about Detox. It will NEVER live up to the hype now.:smh:

He can still do Detox to help launch the careers of the new, upcoming West Coast rappers, and even help solidify Kendrick Lamar.

Hell just do it like a MMG CD. :smh:

We're talking bout Dr. Dre here. This nigga can't just "do it like an MMG CD". It aint in his blood.
Either he's gonna try to drop another classic, or that shit aint never coming out.

damn he made more then tyler perry im shock them beats got him rollin in dough.
The Beats dollars is a one time thing, kinda like when 50 Cent charted with the Vitamin Water sale.

This time period is counting May 2011 thru May 2012, during which TP only put out one movie, "Good Deeds". That Madea movie this summer has already made twice that, plus there is the Alex Cross blockbuster and a couple more movies finished and waiting for release. Once the syndication dollars kick in for those first two TV shows, I predict he will easily go to the #1 spot next year.
