DVDRemaster is an utility for Mac OS X to recompress large DVDs so that they fit on standard DVD5 or video iPod. It can either copy an entire DVD and keep all tracks, copy the main feature only, or (in the Pro version) copy selected audio and video tracks only.

In demonstration mode. there is no limit on how long you can use it, or how much data can be recompressed, but the image will be crippled during 5 seconds every minutes.

Is VM Fusion much better than the Windows Bootcamp Assistant that is preinstalled on my macbook pro?

I'm trying to debate whether I should use this or not...

Thanks...

any one build or thought of building a computer to run mac OS/linux/windows?

my power supply on my imac is going out. out of warranty imac repairs for power supply and system board run about 1k

i usually get my computers free from work, had this one for about 2+ years but things at work are tight and i cant see my boss hooking me up at least until march.

i'm considering building a computer just to run mac and linux.

any thoughts?

Can anyone find this one?

Man, this video really got me thinking that I bought the wrong MAC. :hmm::angry::hmm:

You need a USB dongle called EFI-X to do this. Drawback is you need hardware that is compatible with their HCL. Good thing is that installs from a Retail OSX 10.5 DVD.
That means that it's almost as solid as a real MAC with everything working, but you also have a MUCH FASTER, EXPANDABLE and CHEAPER system.

Once I got VM Fusion, I booted Bootcamp:rolleyes:.... (sorry, I had to)

With VM Fusion I can have booth OS's running at the same time on my desktop at once and drag & drop items between the two.

Here's an example:

I've read on their forum that people are running Protools 8 HD on it. So that would mean that it's stable enough.

The rar file has a password. Can you drop that too? And thanks to all that have shared in this thread.

Sorry about that. PW = mac4share.com

This is really nice software. I was taught coding back in school (14 years ago) and even I like this program. All you do is drag and drop what you want on the page and the program writes all the code for you. Very powerful. Here are some tutorials for it too.

dont cop the dongle

im runnin a c2d penryn @ 3ghz, 4gb ram, 500gb sata, foxconn intel motherboard, broadcom gb ethernet(dont work -using realtek pci card), realtek audio, via firewire, nvidia 9600gt overclocked(on board intel video works too) with 10.5.5

everything worked out of the box except the broadcom network adapter
i added an old realtek card I had and no probs
the intel video worked out of the box
the nvidia you have to play with but the solution is right on http://forum.insanelymac.com

no real need for a dongle

Anyone who is intrested in building a hackintosh the shit is nice. I picked up the MSI wind. One of the new netbooks out. Runs OSX with very little hacking. Im on it now and it runs smooth and not too bad for a 1.6GHZ 2GB system. I hooked it up to my 25 inch monitor and it runs fine with no problems at all. After seeing OSX on a netbook I cant wait to buy a real mac and really enjoy it.

I'm on BGOL right now using a hackintosh. I've been running OSX on a Dell GX620 mini tower for about 2 years now. Recently hooked it up to a 47" LCD TV and bought the Logitech Bluetooth diNovo Edge keyboard so I can surf right from the couch. Even got it hooked up to the surround sound.
