For All You Jordan Lover's With Amnesia...

Asked HNIC to ban me - See Ya
...I want you to pick up this book. I bought the shit, and you'd be surprised how different 'His Holiness' was as a teammate, as opposed to how the media has tried to portray him. I'm not a Jordan-hater, but I'm forced to free you cat's from this Jordan Matrix that you've been wandering around in, hopelessly. I love this quote, 'cause it reminds me of one of the most hated athletes in this era:

"He was looked at a tremendous scorer, but not a winner. People questioned whether he would tone down his scoring and become more of a team player in order to breakthrough and win a title."

http://www.amazon.com/o/ASIN/0671796666/?tag=vp314-20

Go cop that shit. It's only 7.99(I guess nobody wants to read about the bad-side of Jordan, huh?!  )

Get the truth, and then maybe you can except that Jordan as a teammate, may have been even worse than Kobe, at times.

"He was looked at a tremendous scorer, but not a winner. People questioned whether he would tone down his scoring and become more of a team player in order to breakthrough and win a title."

he won 6 him and pippen he didn't need a team all he needed was 2 same with kobe and shaq,Shaq and wade all these players needed was a supporting staff

"He was looked at a tremendous scorer, but not a winner. People questioned whether he would tone down his scoring and become more of a team player in order to breakthrough and win a title."

i wonder if after the second three peat did this come up again..i wonder.

The title of this thread should be: For All You Kobe Lovers Who Are Delusional. :smh:

Nobody is perfect, so please STOP comparing Kobe to Michael.

It's like comparing Tiki Barber to Jim Brown. It just aint right.

Delusional?

Hell, I can admit Kobe's fuck ups; but ya'll cat's can't let Kobe's fuck ups go - and yet you all say no one is perfect?!?!

Dude, please. Kobe has three rings. That's more the Charles, Pat, Karl, Reggie, Wilt, Dr. J, etc, etc, etc....

Dude is now puttin' up great numbers, and draggin' a sorry as team into the playoffs. That's some Michael Jordan shit, and you cat's know it. When all the load is on you, and the coach is the one who told you to carry the load, then you know you're playing for a lame-assed team...

Ya'll get the book, tho'. I promise you won't look at Michael Jordan the same. You all put Jordan up on this untouchable pedestal, even though you see someone doing shit that Jordan has done, and NEVER done - and you STILL can't accept it.

We'll talk championships when management puts some decent players around him. Until then, he has no choice but to put that bitch up. If your coach is the reason behind you puttin' that shit up, then it's very evident that you lack any type of consistent play from your teammates...

Wrong player. How many rings does 'nique have?

Kobe has three-peated, just like Jordan did. Furthermore, Nique has never dropped 35 a game. Nah, the player I'm looking for is Jordan...

Stop forgettin' Jordan was looked at the same way Kobe is now. Everybody's doubting he can take his team to the Finals. Yes, they used to think that shit about Jordan, too. You all only see Jordan, the Legend; but, he didn't start off at the top, despite his talent.

Just my two cents but, there is really no fair comparison. Jordan was a winner period. His team changed some many damn times and still they won. Supporting cast? He made everyone around him look like a damn starter on any nba team when they were basically bench warmers. Name one player that played after leaving the bulls that proved they were as good as mike made them look. Even pip, never really was a "superstar" after the jordan era. kobe is nice in his own right, but not the leader jordan was. he may be someday, but not at this time.

Exactly

There are no "urban legends" about Jordan.....we've all seen Jordan deal with tons of adversity. He handled it like a man that one could take example from.

Jordan took athletic marketing to a whole nother level. People forget that Nike was a STRUGGLING BRAND before Jordan.

Jordan convinced his detractors with excellence. The greats would openly associate with him. He did commercials with BIRD. All this while improving his BBall game at the same time.

Lets look at how Magic dealt with an aging superstar. He deferred to Kareem and kept the rings flowing. He probably extended Kareem's career by two or three years. Kareem retired and Magic took over and it seemed natural. Magic could have AIDS and still get more respect than Kobe.

The great thing about life is that , if you desire it, WE ALL GET OLD! Kobe will be the aging star demanding respect. He will run across someone like himself. Thats when he will get it.

When you leave your teammates uninvolved and blame them when you lose you are by no means a leader. I know that some young people will not understand that now. It is very true. Never trust a backstabber. Kobe is just that. When there is no trust, you will not lead. PERIOD.

To lead a team to a 72-10 record as well as a 69-13 record you must be a great scorer, intelligent on and OFF THE COURT, and take over when your team is flat.

Man, you all have this bullshit romanticized view of Jordan in your mind. That nigga was ruthless. That dude alienated teammates, and did whatever he had to do. Early in his career, that motherfucker didn't want to pass the ball to anybody. UNTIL Jordan was paired up with Phil Jackson, and convinced that sharing the ball was the best way for the team to win, he went ringless. Kobe had been playing team-ball ALL year long! Why is Kobe just ALL of a sudden scoring droppin' all of these points? His coach told him he needs to. You haven't heard Phil complaining about Kobe's scoring, because that's what they asked him to do. Even Tex Winter(the mastermind behind the triangle) said he hopes Kobe can keep up his scoring pace for the rest of the regular season, 'cause the Lakers need it.

Kobe is doing what his coaches are asking him. Blame the strategy on the coach; they're simply just utilizing the tremendous scoring weapon that they have, to get them into the playoffs, 'cause their players lack consistency.

Please....

Ruthless, let see.... What person or entity that is highly successful wasn`t ruthless at sometime? He demanded that people do what they got paid to do. Did you ever hear any of those guys, he did so wrong complain about the rings, fame, and money they acquired from riding jordans back? not once. Yeah he was a damn killer and thats why he won like he did. He took his job seriously. Came a time when leading the nba in scoring wasnt enough, time to do what he came to do. The bulls built 6(damn) championship teams around him. So someone had to be getting along with him. They say the same thing about bill gates, yeah he stole some shit, tricked some people, but thats real life shit.Kobe is just as athletic if not more than mike, a better scoring machine, and all that shit. but in the end he`s not the leader mike was. Not yet anyway

Why didn't those leadership skills get him a ring in Washington? Why didn't he elevate those players? Clearly you don't need to average thirty to win a ring in the NBA, 'cause Tim Duncan has rings, and he's yet to average over 25 points. Jordan had Stackhouse AND Larry Hughes at once time .... and yet, they won no championships...

See, that's the thing right there - you can't for a motherfucker to be consistent. You think the only good leader in the NBA was Jordan? Hell no! Those dudes were afraid to bump heads with Jordan, that's why no one was complaining about him, for real. How are you going to complain about JORDAN; The Man Of Steal ... The Legend. Ha!

They were smart.

Jordan, like I said in a previous post, didn't win a ring until Phil came into town. He didn't win a ring WITHOUT Phil, either. Coincidentally, neither did Kobe Bryant. MORE SIMILARITIES. Apparently, Phil Jackson isn't being given enough credit ..... 'cause it the facts ARE - Jordan, as great as he is, is ringless without Phil Jackson...

So much for being this infalliable leader who elevates ANYBODY to championshipo level basketball.

One more thing(damn). Mike was very business savy. The shit that did go on within the bulls locker room stayed right the fuck there. Yeah he socked kerr in the eye, but u never heard about it till the dynasty was over pretty much. Jordan also gave his teammates major props in public, and openly depended on them during game time. All the public fuss between shaq and kobe was terrible for his image. kobe and shaq could have been a far more successful tandem than mike and pip, but one didnt know his place. Yeah pip was hot, but he understood why he was. As to who was the culprit in that situation, i cant say, but shaq did go on, not much later, to win another title with another squad. maybe a fluke but it happened.

first of all, jordan did have quite a bit of age on him, and his physical skills were somewhat diminished. And i assume after shitting on everbody you could shit on in the league he desire to win wasnt as strong as times past. And i agree he was not the only leader or best in the nba during his time even. But his method was effective, kobes is not. period!! not saying that he wont be, but it aint working for him now. And yes phil was an big part in both those teams, that had two superstar players that got along on the court. he`s smart, but also had some very good tools to work with in both cases. So if phil had the formula then(be scared of mike he`s the man, dont question him) why cant he do that for kobe now?

I really wasn't speaking with you.

You are trying to say Kobe is better by trashing Jordan.

The good and bad of Jordan is well documented. The bottom line is that Jordan won with those teammates.

The main documentation of Kobe is individual stats. He has not lead this team to anything. The Clippers have gone further in the playoffs than the Lakers.

It is best to avoid conversations with people that are too emotional to reason.

If the discussion was Magic or Russel over Jordan that would be worthwhile. At least we would have a career to judge. Kobe is still playing. Most of the speculation is about what he MIGHT do, not what he has done.

Wake me up when you have something of substance to say and when Kobe wins even ONE more championship while actually LEADING his team

Please let this shit go we obviously will NEVER EVER get anywhere.
You have Micheal Jordan fans and you have Kobe Bryant fans, its basically a waste
of fucking time trying to convince one to agree with the other.

I personally feel Micheal Jordan was a better player, athlete, scorer
teammate and overall better talent but thats just my personal opinion.
I also feel the PS3 is better than the XBOX 360
I feel Madden is better NFL 2K its neither here nor there who fucking cares.

So what Micheal Jordan got love from the refs, try and act like every superstar
athlete in America dont get more love than a role player. MJ
put asses in the seats so you better damn well believe the league will protect its most valuable assets. MJ had the home field advantage on the road
he would play other teams and in some arenas that would be the only sell out
game they had is when they played The BULLS.

Like Jay-Z said said............"women lie, men lie the numbers dont"
you be the judge its a no brainer for me but of course being that
i'm from Chicago and a BULLS fan I maybe a lil' bias.

I did'nt even bother listing the NBA dunk championships
because all the highlighted awards should kill all debates

I could go do all this damn number crunching and comparing, and parsing situations, but really, I just have one thing to say.

Fuck Kobe.

Talk to me about if Jordan ratted out teammates irrelevant business to po-lice to save his own bitch ass. Then, I'll say "Fuck Kobe."

I'll admit it. I just don't like his ass. I ain't apologizing.

the bulls had alot of good players besides jordan and pippen
of course Jordan is the greatest, but the Chicago Bulls had a hell oof a team
especially when it was mostly black during the early 90'S

you know what

You all know I am a Kobe fan

You all know that 45 is my favorite of all time (and G.O.A.T.)

Yada Yada Yada

I occassionaly throw up a clip of 24 doing what he does for a living

avatar68692314qx.gif

But look foreal

Just enjoy what this man 24 is doing right now that's all

I appreciate being able to post on BGOL cuz there are some people with some really interesting, and inviting views. There is always the Vivid depections of what it would be like if this and that happened, or the other way around. What if this
What if that
What if he scores__and he only gets__
And back then it was like this and now its like...

Honestly only time will tell

Also, from the innermost point of my heart know that people are afraid to see someone be better than MJ.
If not afraid...confident...that KB will never beat "His Airness"

If everything holds true to form to the popular frame of mind

Jordan will always be the greatest

However, I would certainly like for more Greats to come along

I love seeing BLACKS get stronger from generation to generation

And learn from their predecessors

And take my FAVORITE game to the next level.

And LOVE the game not just for accolades

But for winning, and if not winning GIVING IT YOUR ALL

AND IF THERE IS ONE THING NONE OF US CAN TAKE FOR GRANITE...HIS HOW HARD 24 WORKS TO DO THE THINGS HE DOES. HOW MANY HOURS 45 SPENT IN THAT GYM PATENTING THAT FADEAWAY OF HIS. HOW THE SKINNY KID FROM NORTH CAROLINA INSPIRED A WHOLE GENERATION OF PLAYERS. HOW MUCH WE ALL WANT TO SEE THE NBA RISE TO NEW HEIGHTS. TO ENJOY WHEN DYNASTIES RISE AND FALL.

WITHOUT WAR THERE WILL NEVER BE PEACE

WITHOUT PEACE THERE WILL NEVER BE WAR

WITH YOUR OPINION

SOMEONE ELSE'S WILL FOLLOW

SO WHEN IT IS ALL SAID AND DONE

JUST DONT SPEND SO MUCH TIME DEBATING

THAT YOU DONT GET TO ENJOY WHATS HAPPENING IN FRONT OF YOUR EYES

PLAYOFFS HERE I COME! CANT WAIT

Thank you all. Keep the peace.

And remember, while you might know in your heart that BMW is better than TOYOTA...there are just as many or more people that believe TOYOTA is better than BMW

You all only see Jordan, the Legend; but, he didn't start off at the top, despite his talent.

more like shaq three peated ... and until they get bumped from the playoffs, he,s trying a two-peat (he,s proving he can win without kobe.... now kobe needs to do the same)
