im a fan of common but im also a fan of lil wayne, as far having a message and being conscious about issues common is light years ahead of wayne but when it comes to just down right spitting regardless of how simple or complex the subject matter wayne is definatly one of the best doing it right now

Now as for this Lil Wayne thing. I see you guys are fans of his. That's fine, just don't blaspheme and say he's one of the best, that's ridiculous.

He has no flow, and wil say anything whether it makes sense or not. There is no skill to what he does. I'm criticizing him as a rapper. I don't hate him. I'm not a hater in the sense that you're incorrectly using the term. Just because he went from being really wack to a just below mediocre punchline rapper, does not make him anywhere near top anything.

He hasn't gotten better in time. You guys don't know shit about skill because if you did you wouldn't say the dumb shit you guys are saying.

To say he can see Common on any level is just plain ignorant.

It's not even that Lil Wayne isn't talking about anything. He just doesn't make any sense. He's all punch lines and that's it. I could care less if he was one-dimensional in his subject matter. Look at Redman. That man's considered great and all he talks about is weed and fucking bitches. But he can also rock an entire album and have you thinking like "Damn...did he just say that?"
