i've been reading all of the threads in the past few weeks regarding those that are for/against obama, and i think some people have it figured out wrong.

for the record i'm 200% pro obama. Not because he's black though. but because he is the only candidate running on a platform for true change in the country.

Please do not see him as a civil rights leader like many of you are doing. he is not. this isn't about him parading for racial equality. making it this far is proving that, IMO. this is not about gaining more rights for us because he is in office. It is about showing that a black man can do something these past fools didn't do, make a change.

now the fact that he is african american just makes me prouder/more confident that we, whether as individuals or as a group can accomplish the great. i'm an individual that normally doesn't expect nothing out of anyone but myself, but he's showing me otherwise. if someone asked me now what is something worth sacrificing for i'd say that man as pres.

and fuck anybody here who's against them:dance::dance:

People keep forgetting that he is a CFR member too so at the end of the day it doesn't make a difference which one of them wins.

Your right, I pretty must stated the same thing about Obama on the main board. I believe he is legit as to what his goals are. He is a presidental candidate. He is not Moses looking to take his people to the promised land.

It's unfair to him for us to expect him to take office and eliminate all our social and racial issues. But you know there's going to be those who will later label him a Tom.

You select your candidate based on your belief that he/she has the country's best interest at heart, not because of race or gender. So far Obama is the only one who seems to have an agenda other than to win the election.

I changed my mind this week, (mainly due to Hillary's futile attempts to sway the "Black" vote) I'm now sure I'll vote for Obama:yes:. I still can't believe she had the nerve to mention Fredrick Douglas:smh:. As for Obama, I hope he knows not to trust a damn person in that white house. I still think the KKK has their own private quarters in some hidden room in there:angry:. Black folks have always told their kids they can be the next black president. Now they can say it and mean it.:D
