Follow up: Who stopped using the N-Word?

It was around this time last year that the Obama buzz was dwindling down a bit, and cats on here kept insisting that they were to stop using the N-word.

This post is a follow up to that prelude, and to see how cats have come along in the past year.

Did anyone make that promise to themselves, family, or friends, and have you successfully pulled through in not using the N-word?
 
i did... saying it just sounds like saying "jive turkey" it's very outdated.

It has nothing to do with Obama or being Righteous, just Maturing and Growing Up.
 
I stopped using it in my speech but when I'm on here I'll type ninja or nikka because there is no word In the English language suitable enough to define some of the people on here.

Never used it in the 1st place... so I never had to stop. However, I can assure you that heads have not stopped using the word on here or in real life.

Nigga check this shit out my nigga. I stopped using that nigga shit last year my nigga. I don't even call a nigga a nigga to describe the nigga shit some of these muthafucking niggas be doing out here man. You know when a nigga go to the club and niggas but acting a fucking fool like niggas are known to do I just stand there in my mind and say look at these niggas doing this ignorant ass nigga shit but for real my nigga I won't call them niggas niggas man. I call them some stupid ass niggas! :roflmao:

Don't worry, you will eventually stop sayin that too.......you just need a replacement for a while.

When I stopped sayin it, I used to say bro or brotha and that made me either sound lame or an activist.:lol:

I say dude, man or muthafucka alot now. I'm cool with that and I don't sound lame when I say it.

Just doesnt fit in my perception of self anymore.

And I dont want my kids growing up with that perception either.
 
sunblessed aka black folk who still get upset over todays use of the word nigga are black folk who still allow white folk, to define words and meanings for them...

black folk have a history of taking words and flipping the meaning, bad is good etc....

we took a word and said fuck what YOU think it means, this what it means to us....

after all Niger, NGGR all that is far from anything negative my niggas,

If I am going to ban anything I will ban, white supremecist bullshit, toxic people, toxic imagery and toxic thoughts from my life..

banning the word nigga will not change your life at all, banning negative thoughts about you and your people will..

letting someone else define words for you, is a form of slavery..

you have the ability to change the meaning of words you know, or the ability to allow someone else to define things for you.
