Floyd mayweather: Kostya tszyu's biggest challenge

They didn't fight. Hatton made Kostya quit and Floyd was a bitch according to his many detractors for fighting Hatton. Floyd beat Hatton pretty bad so... what are we talking about? If Floyd's a bitch for fighting the combination of Baldomir and Judah... why are time traveling for this fight when Hatton ended Kostya's career. Not to mention that Floyd just moved to 140 a year before Kostya quit. I mean put everyone else under the microscope of who is their first fights out the gate when they move up in weight... Cotto is another person you say Floyd duck and look at the people he has fought with every jump in weight class.

No but they ignore the fact that way after Zab lost to Kostya, Floyd pursued a fight with him, this was 2005, I remember this clear as day. A lot of cats don't because Floyd wasn't really on too many fans radars. Kostya turned him down and fought Ricky Hatton instead so Floyd went and fought Sharmba Mitchell, trying to make a case for himself to get a fight with Tzsyu. Floyd went on to beat Gatti and then Mitchell. But a few months before that Kostya quit the fight with Hatton and the sport and the rest is history.

So, going by the extreme jumps we take on this board, Kostya was ducking Floyd Mayweather. Interesting.

Merce, you know damn well... Floyd pursuing a fight is his crafty way of ducking people.

Edit: damn phone

An old Vince Phillips busted his ass and Zab was knockin his ass across the ring at will before he went all Zab on himself. Kostya knew what was waiting for him if he fought Floyd.

It's funny because when he was with Arum he was trying to put together fights with the best. Arum tanked them all almost but the fights were there to be made. Floyd leaves and pretty quickly gets his big money fight he wanted with a much bigger still pretty dangerous Oscar. Yet people still come up with this "logic" that Floyd has ducked all these dudes. Floyd had really big money fights lined up, yet he's supposed to trip all over himself to accept a measley 8 million to fight Margarito and then take 7 million to fight Cotto? GTFOHWTBS.:smh: I'd have more respect for these dudes if they just said they personally just don't like Floyd.

At least have some honesty about you.
I like the dude but I have no problem saying when he's on some shit. I know you aren't his biggest fan but because you don't believe (or make up) every lie told about him, you must be one of his biggest fans. It can be irritating.

Nobody here knows dude. Just because you can be critical about certain aspects of him. That doesnt mean you dislike dude. Lmao, seriously. I disagreed with Bush's policies. That doesn't mean I dont like him.

Agreed. But when you believe mistruths about him and even when contrary evidence is produced continue with those beliefs, it looks personal.

My opinions are my own. If it looks personal it is because it is personal to the person viewing it.

Every boxer has faults. When I say catchweight stuff with manny is lame. Does that mean I personally dislike dude? If I say I hate how bhop doesnt fight with urgency mean I hate him too. You guys need to understand people have an opinion on pbf. His career leaves him open to it. Thats just how it is.

Exactly. That's like a jury disregarding evidence that proves a person's innocence and the jury convicting anyway because they "dislike" that person. In matters of debate, feelings or personal opinions have no bearing. Am I fond of Floyd? Not at all really, I happen to think Manny is a much more personable dude, but NONE of that shit has any bearing on the facts.

:yes:Thanks for the assist, I didn't even think about searching for it on Youtube. Doesn't matter though, they'll say he didn't really wanna fight him even if he did call them out. The only guy Floyd didn't really want to fight (in my OPINION) who he called out was Winky Wright. Winky said OK and Floyd backed off.

Maybe, but I hold strong that Paul Williams is the only duck.

I'll say this again... Merce, you know damn well... Floyd pursuing a fight is his crafty way of ducking people.

I'm not too sure about Williams. I vividly remember Floyd himself calling out Winky Wright and when Wright said they could meet up anytime Floyd never brought his name up again. Call me crazy but I still think Floyd would beat the brakes off Paul Williams.

Floyd must not want to fight anybody, Victor Ortiz must have won some kind of secret lottery.:lol:

I remember seeing Floyd and Winky kicking it at a few fights. I don't know about him ducking Wink, but you might be right.

EXCLUSIVE: WINKY WRIGHT PUTS FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR ON BLAST!
By G. Leon

Over the weekend Winky Wright expressed great interest in facing undefeated pound for pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr telling Boxingtalk.com,

"Floyd was the one who first called me out right here on Boxingtalk a few months ago and now that we're both looking for someone for our next fight, I'm surprised that him and his people are talking about trying to fight everybody but me. They're talking about Hatton, Cotto, the Mosley-Vargas winner, Margarito, but what happened to Winky Wright? I'm saying if you were really serious about fighting me then why did you forget to mention my name now? Floyd says he's looking for the biggest challenge out there, Floyd says he wants to give the fans the biggest fight out there for November 4 well here I am little homey, step up to the plate and I'll kill myself to make 154 just to show the world who the best is period."

You can check the whole thing out here, it's much longer.

http://www.operationsports.com/foru...d-mayweather-jr-2-seperate-chat-sessions.html

I remember Floyd initially called out Winky after the 2 Mosley wins in '04 and Winky was on some old "name the date and time and purse split" and Floyd never mentioned it again. By '06 though, Floyd had Oscar in his sights so...

The only guy Floyd didn't really want to fight (in my OPINION) who he called out was Winky Wright. Winky said OK and Floyd backed off.

I thought the fight got shot down because of the split...Winky wanted more money and that was the end of that...Not sure of that, but Winky did price himself out of a potential rematch with Taylor...

Damn you changing sigs like a hockey team change shifts... :D

I remember Winky saying he wanted a 50/50 split. Check the link from '06 I posted above.

As for your comment about my sig sir....:D:yes:

LOL, you guys remind me of fox news. Here is an interesting post. Old yes, but at least it is of various opinions.

http://www.saddoboxing.com/boxingfo...een-interesting-early-mayweathers-career.html

They actually see it as I do. And this is closer to the time frame I talked about. Like I say duck is a hard word to use. But if it is used I can see why people think that. I don't think it was that he was scared of these guys as much as he was scared to get a loss.

shit the last post brought it all back. "Mayweather/Tszyu never had much chance of happening, because Floyd had a long term deal with HBO and Tszyu fought on Showtime."

I totally forgot that shit. At least now I have a sensible reason for why he fought wack ass chop chop instead.

PS

The only fighter I ever hated was SRL. But that was because I was a hitman and kronk gym fighter fan. So I could never like SRL. Just like being from philly you had to hate the title town steelers.

Fox News, huh? Did you just post a link to another forum...

Can we get some facts to support these opinions?

buk - 3 post and you didn't even present a counter argument. I know its a running joke that we are the "Co-sign" Crew, but we are of different opinions on a lot of things that aren't based in concrete facts or things that can't be proven one way or the other. When there are facts that enter the discussion we run with the facts... if there are no facts I try to present my opinion at least with sound logic.

You have the position that he ducked all these people and I posted a video of him calling all of them out. Now if you want to continue down this path... can you please present some facts or a logical opinion as to how/why these were ducks? If not... admit that you either have an agenda or that you were wrong. You can also stop posting in this thread, wait a few days and start a new thread with similar shit or a different angle on the anti-Floyd agenda like you usually do.

He wanted no parts of Winky. Wright would have been way too big and strong and smart. That would have been a horrible fight with the two of them staring at each other throwing 6 jabs per round. I don't even know why he let that name fall from his lips. He must have been really feeling good.

You're crazy. He would beat the brakes AND the wheels off Paul Williams and you know that's my dude. I used to think PWill had the formula but Quintana and Martinez showed his weakness against counterpunchers and Floyd's the best in the business.

I told you before. Ducked it way to strong of a word. Avoid is better. He avoided these fighters for various reasons. The fact is the fights were not made. Also a video of a fighter talking after a bout is them just talking. I dont remember offers being made for any of the fighters except cotto and antonio.

The co sign crew shit is just a joke. But it sticks because it appears that way.

I understand it is a very pro pbf crowd here. It is funny how opinion pro pbf are fact and opinions not are hating.

Buk, you used the term, "duck", if want to use avoid now... can you provide the various reasons that he avoided these guys and not that they avoided him? You blame Floyd for the fights not happening as if he is the only reason that a fight didn't go down. It isn't about being pro Floyd, if you are of the opinion that Floyd is to blame... prove it in some form. You aren't doing that. You just saying he did and that's it. When pressed for facts you just point to the fact that fights didn't happen like it proves anything.

Also buk he did call out a lot of people that he did end up fighting so... I put more stock in his calling people out than this idea that Floyd ruined all these fights on his own out of fear after he called these people out.

Yeah, me and my uncle were in his car when we heard about that Winky shit and were both like:(:hmm::roflmao3::roflmao3:

You remember even before the Quintana fight you and I used to debate a Williams/Mayweather match up and I used to give you those same reasons. Paul doesn't fight tall, May would stay inside his reach all day. THAT'S one fight where I see Floyd opening up with some real combos like the younger Floyd. Paul would cry in the car.:D

I gotta give ya'll dudes SOME incentive to read my posts.

Hey if we're FOX then you can be Bill O'Reilly Dave.:D:lol::lol::lol:

.

yep...same here... I used to think PW could do it, but it would be an easy UD for Floyd.
