Further clarity on the matter...yet, casual fans will still find a way to absolve Pac and his slave master.

Yahoo Sports said:
A contract sent on Dec. 11, 2009, by Golden Boy Promotions on behalf of Mayweather to Top Rank on behalf of Pacquiao proposed a 50-50 financial split between the sides for a fight that would have been held March 13, 2010.

"If we had a deal, how come we didn't have a fight?" Schaefer said when asked to comment.

Schaefer said Pacquiao's reluctance to accept the drug testing Mayweather was demanding in 2009 was "a deal killer."

Schaefer is bullshitting a little bit about not ever having a 50/50 split, but overall he is right.

Yeah...i gathered that as well. Assuming he was doing so to give little credence to Pac deserving an equal split, if both sides ever come to terms.

That time was about as close as they were going to get to making a fight. Pac's team should've went for it then.

After this coming weekend, they will find out why they should never get a 50/50 split

This is called 'let's funnel tidbits of information out there over the next 3 months or so, to keep Floyd relevant and in the public eye while he's in jail, so when he comes out, this fight doesn't lose any traction'... Odd that, this info is 2 years old, but it's only NOW being leaked to the public...

Ok, yeah, hard to see the motives for this...

Thanks for the Non-Story Shaefer, 2010 negotiations are exceptionally relevant at this point... :hmm:

If they don't do at least a mil, the talk of 50/50 will be dead and that $40 mil offer will look better and better.

I don't know what the fuck they were smoking, trying to get 50/50. Floyd's fighting young hungry guys like Ortiz or moving up in weight(as opposed to draining) to fight Miguel Cotto. And Pac takes on - Tim Bradley. I mean if it's not obvious that Pac's team has always tried to find the path of least resistance then I don't know what to tell these fools. "Hey Pac, how about we fight a guy smaller than you who can't punch? Then people will REALLY be eager to see that Floyd fight":hmm::hmm::hmm:

GTFOH.:smh:

I won't go that hard... Pac used to fight killers, but then again he had to. With that said, if Floyd was fighting Bradley... People would lose their minds. There would be 20 threads with maybe 5-6 pages about how much of that fight is bullshit. Yet, I guess its even worse that this fight is getting no burn at all.

At featherweight bruh, that's it. and that's because he had no choice. That division was absolutely LOADED. Notice how they stayed away from the pure boxers like Raheem, Chris John and Joan Guzman. They will always fight guys who's first instinct is to brawl not box.

I know. We can never take that from him though. We can critique but he has earned his spot even though its easy see through his bullshit now. He still earned it back then.

Without a doubt. It's just the bullshit that went on after the Erik Morales loss that killed it for me.
