if i can wake my ass up early enough to catch the morning game, i'll be sitting my ass in front of the TV all day...

been waiting all through baseball season for this! can't get here soon enough...

in my area, i got:

Denver vs. St. Louis - i want to see the new look post-martz rams

Dallas vs. Jacksonville - get the first look at TO and bledsoe

Indianapolis vs. NY Giants

and on monday night:

Minnesota vs. Washington - stinker, but i'll still watch some before the REAL game

San Diego vs. Oakland - gotta watch my raiders...

I got all those games too, except the Rams game. Instead they showed Eagles v. Texans. I know its only week 1, but a lot of people have picked Dallas to go to the superbowl and win it all. But i dont think they have a chance of reaching the Superbowl with Drew Bledsoe at QB. And where the hell is their kicker. Dallas' defense came out hyped in the first half, but in the second half, their corners were exploited and picked apart. But T.O. looked ok, not like his old self.

No HD for me (I should be so lucky), but there was plenty
of games to choose from. It's kind of weird because every
network has a game except ABC:

At 1:00 PM EDT
FOX - Philly vs. Houston (man, did the eagle look free and loose)
CBS - Jets vs. Tenn (a win is a win)

At 8:00 PM EDT
the new Sunday Night Football
NBC - Giants vs. Indy

The the new Monday night doubleheader on ESPN
that everyone else saw

that doens't even include the games that come on
at 4:00.... that's alot of football.....

throw in the baseball games and I ain't leave the damn house
all day

after you watch football in HD there is no going back lol....just got 52 inch JVC HD-ILA in just in time for the football season.

stupid damn networks

this regional coverage preference is some dumb ass shit...

as much as i'm a raiders fan AND put some money down on the ravens to take the AFC, i STILL don't want to watch that game... damn CBS, you couldn't give us a more interesting and competitive morning game like detroit v. chicago or even buffalo v. miami?

FOX's morning game is supposed to be atlanta v. tampa, so i'll probably be watching that game most of the time, but even still, i'd rather be watching the game i think will be the best of the day: eagles v. giants.

then CBS gives us another stinker in the afternoon: titans v. chargers.

what's worse is that FOX goes dark in the afternoon out here instead of offering an afternoon game. some parts of the country will at least get to watch the chiefs v. broncos.

BOO!

and for those wondering why i don't get the NFL package, it's because i have cable and not satellite. and i have time warner cable, who refuses to pay the NFL $100M for NFL network rights...

BOO!

That's one of the main reasons why I hate the NFL....their coverage on regular networks suck...

Last week I saw the great game against the Ravens and the Bucs (loved every minute of it) and the Cowboys against the Jags. After the Bucs game they showed a little bonus coverage of Jets vs. Titans then they cut that shit off after 4:15 for contractual reasons...... :smh:

College football is where it's at.....check out this week's schedule....

#11 Michigan at #2 Notre Dame NBC
#6 LSU at #3 Auburn CBS
#17 Miami (FL) at #12 Louisville ABC
#15 Oklahoma at #18 Oregon ABC
#24 Texas Tech at #20 TCU CSTV
#19 Nebraska at #4 USC ABC
#7 Florida at #13 Tennessee CBS

    :D

Week 2 games sold out. All TV blackouts lifted

NEW YORK (Sept. 15, 2006) -- For the second consecutive week, all 16 games of the NFL schedule have sold out in advance of the local TV blackout deadline, enabling every game to be televised in the home-team market.

This is the first time since the NFL blackout policy took effect in 1973 that all blackouts were lifted for the season's first two weeks. Blackouts were lifted on NFL Kickoff 2006 Weekend (Sep. 7, 10-11).

It will be the 15th time in NFL history that blackouts have been lifted for all games on a single weekend. The previous 14 times have been on Kickoff Weekend in 1998; three times in 2000; once in 2001; four times in 2002 and 2005; and on Kickoff 2006 Weekend.

The NFL blackout policy states that games sold out 72 hours prior to kickoff can be televised in the home city.

Hot Damn! I Admit I Was Wrong!

tomorrow morning i get that bullshit a.m. game on CBS: raiders v. ravens

but THANK THE GOOD LORD i get this a.m. game on FOX: eagles v. giants! :D

the afternoon broadcast still sucks:

CBS: titans v. chargers

FOX: NOTHING

but at least i get the eagles v. giants in the a.m. to me, that's the most competitive game on the sunday card. the monday night game looks good though.

CBS is still dumb as hell. why put 2 games on featuring 2 of the worst teams in the league (raiders, titans)? that seems like some boring, lopsided shit.

even NBC with their sunday night game has something better to offer with redskins v. cowboys.

You know....I noticed that. I just thought that they had FINALLY
stopped that stupid policy of not televising competing games in that
teams home state. I have hated that rule for years and hate the
greed (of the "owners") behind it. So that's why
