Watching this video made me Sea sick in the Living room

12 years in the Navy, my sea legs are intact. I went whale watching for a friend of mine's birthday 2 years ago and the seas were quite rough. 2/3 of the boat was either hanging with their heads over the side or looking like they were about to call Earl, and I'm standing in the middle riding every wave barely if even touching the bar, Like "bring it on"

Yeah, well done shipmate. I did 10 years and this video made me think of damn I miss sleeping in those heavy waves. Was the best sleep ever.
Oh my God. I would love to just go out to see on a Navy ship one more time. They need to have a cruise for us old salts. Happy veterans day by the way
Same to you a bit late but you know...and I just asked one of my homeboys from my first cruiser if they would let him rejoin would he go back? He was like yup as long as no pt I am down. I just laughed. Man I miss those days had a damn good time.....but that was the old navy. I couldn't do this new military. Too weak minded and too much politics versus being in the damn military.
Thats wild. I can't ever remember getting seasick but my uncles used to take us out as little kids. It was always fun as heck to me even in rough water.
My late grandpa was a part-time fisherman. When he passed he wanted his ashes spread in the ocean. We did so on his birthday the following year, and spread some at the fisherman's memorial which was oceanside at a park. Then went for his favorite meal (fish and chips). Beautiful sunny day. Nice breeze.
It was sobering standing there with grandma and some other family members, as she was mentioning a number of names of people she knew that were listed. One father and son were listed ... they drowned at sea together. "Grandpa was supposed to be on that boat too. " (some 40+ years prior).
