Actually not. Gallo used a prosthetic device he'd absconded with from a French film he'd worked on previously.

Does it matter if it is a device?

Uhhh, yeah. It means it wasn't his "real" dick that was getting blown (though he's happy to make you think it was, for publicity purposes).

Interesting film though.

Interesting film though. Typical Gallo obnoxiousness and madness.

A better, more accessible (though no less odd) Gallo film:

agents dont drop clients over prosthesis. It was real. As I said before Chole and I go way back. Shes real cool but made a bad choice on that one. Infact any rappers that use to hang out in NY's muse probably bumped heads with her.

Get real. Chloe has done nothing but GREAT films (and now a top TV series) since that obscure (and failed) feature, which she did as a favor for her ex. She's much loved in the industry (though not always easy to cast). No one's "dropping" anyone based on an over-hyped sex scene (that really wasn't). Her totally nude, gang rape scene in the same film is far more provocative.

The fact that folks still think it's "real" is part of the whole "Gallo hustle." His life and work is one big piece of performance art.

(The female director who used the prosthetic in her film recognized it immediately upon seeing it in his, and was pissed-off.)

Chloe Sevigny Dropped by William Morris?
2 January 2004 (WENN)
Movie actress Chloe Sevigny has been dumped by the William Morris Agency, because of her unsimulated oral sex scene in controversial movie Brown Bunny. The 29-year-old star shocked audiences earlier this year when she performed the graphic sex act on actor Vincent Gallo in the movie which was slammed by critics at the Cannes Film Festival. And now William Morris has decided that they no longer want to represent Chloe, who has already signed up with rival agency Endeavor reports website Page Six. A source says, "The scene was one step above pornography, and not a very big one. William Morris now feels that her career is tainted and may never recover, especially after rumors began circulating about the even more graphic outtakes that didn't make it into the actual film." But Sevigny insists that despite the media storm, she made the decision to end her eight-year business relationship with the firm. Her spokesperson Amanda Horton told Page Six in response, "After being represented by William Morris for eight years, last summer, Ms. Sevigny decided that she no longer wished to be represented by the agency. At no time did William Morris try and 'drop' Ms. Sevigny, as any official representative from William Morris would tell you if they weren't all on vacation."

Sevigny Still Upset About Reaction to 'Brown Bunny'

Actress Chloe Sevigny is still traumatized by her controversial fellatio scene opposite Vincent Gallo in The Brown Bunny - because everyone seems to have an opinion about it without seeing the film. The Boys Don't Cry star hit the headlines when the movie was shown at the Cannes Film Festival in France in 2003 and film fans questioned her decision to perform the unsimulated sex act on her ex-boyfriend. The film was largely a flop and Sevigny's agents at the William Morris Agency dropped her as a client upon its release. Now, almost four years after the controversy, Sevigny admits she still has moments when she wishes she had never made the movie.

She says, "I seem to question myself every day why I crossed the line in The Brown Bunny, but I really believed in the director (Gallo) as an artist. I guess I just thought, 'I could go to this extreme once, ' but perhaps it was the wrong choice. I'm not gonna beat myself up over it anymore. I think perhaps if it had come out at a different time people would've reacted to it differently. Making it for me was not difficult but the reaction from the public has been very difficult for me to handle. I think a lot of people talk about it without having seen it and that's part of the problem."

Paxton and Sevigny Furious During Interview
13 March 2006 (WENN)
Actors Bill Paxton and Chloe Sevigny "went ballistic" on Wednesday after the actress was asked about an explicit sex scene from a previous film on a daytime TV talk show. The two were appearing on US chat show The View to promote their new HBO series Big Love, about a polygamous husband and his three wives. One of The View's co-hosts, Joy Behar, brought up an infamous scene from independent film The Brown Bunny, where Sevigny orally pleasures co-star Vincent Gallo. Sources on set say Paxton and Sevigny masked their fury from viewers but "went ballistic" off camera, with Paxton reportedly vowing never to appear on the show again. Sevigny has frequently discussed the controversial scene, but Paxton didn't want her to have to relive it on the sedate daytime talk show. The View spokesman Karl Nilsson says, "Co-host Joy Behar is known for her good-natured candor, as well as her humor, and meant no disrespect." Viewers on the US east coast watched live as the cast squirmed in their seats, but all talk of the incident was cut out of the west coast broadcast, which aired later. Nilsson refused to say who requested that the conversation regarding The Brown Bunny be edited out.

Thank you Bruh. I never knew she put that in print. But thats exactly what she told me. I'm not well versed in celebrity bullshit or musicians. Chole is the only famous person I know and still talk to.

You should read more carefully. Her being dropped (if so) didn't necessarily have everything to do with the barely-seen film ("citation needed"), and as your link states, her successful career has continued non-stop ever since. Good move!!!!

So, what's the point? The film was MEANT to fuck with people's heads, and she's not gonna give up Gallo (or his "art") by bailing-out on the scene and admitting it was staged. The fact that people think it's real is all that matters.

Talk to director Catherine Brelliat (who's made plenty of her own explicit mainstream features, including the one with porner Rocco) about the device that Gallo used. She identified it, not me. (And given how he holds it at the base and how inflexible it is in the scene, it's pretty clear that it's not a real dick. But hey, whatever turns you on. Film is all about ILLUSION,)

I always believed Halle Berry actually got fucked in Monster's Ball... any confirmation?

No. Just good acting (though some would love to believe otherwise).

There's no point in actually doing it unless you intend to show actual penetration. It's far easier (and more practical) to "fake" it, since you can do 20 or 30 takes (from multiple angles) if necessary, without the actors being truly orgasmed-out after the first one (which may have also been botched by a technical glitch).
