Actually, according to the latest census figures, "Blacks" represent 12.6% of the US population.

On the census form. there are choices for so called non-Hispanic Black, mixed, among other choices.
People who share similar ethnicities and political descriptions may not all call themselves "Black."
Unlike you, I do not feel threatened by "others." This is an indication of white fear. Posssibly a subconscious guilt reflex.
