But the difference is Paris Hilton already had money, she and her sister Nicky were famous just for being famous or "celebutantes", they were showing up on Page 6 & all of the gossip rags @ parties all over the world, when Nicky went to college Paris started rolling with her longtime friends Kim Kardashian, Paris' sextape came out in 2003, Kim's in 2007, but the REAL "first" celebrity sextape was Pamela Anderson's honeymoon tape with her new hubby Tommy Lee, back in 1995, there was also a second tape with her that made the rounds as well, with Poison frontman Bret Michaels.

So while Pam's tape was first, and Paris' tape helped her then new TV reality show, it was Kim K's tape that demonstrated the path to notoriety and money after Kim's Mom negotiated a deal for its release, while they were extremely comfortable before, that tape was the basis for the family becoming multi-millionaires.
