I know a dude that was trying to run game..and his girl found out his PW.
Posted ALL his messages and shit to his front page and changed the PW..
Turns out he had like 30 chicks telling em he loved them and was gonna marry them.:lol::smh:
 
i dont have an account because i have phone which contains the information of all the people i wish to keep in contact with. And whomever i want to keep in contact with me, has my info.
 
I had a myspace account from March of 2005 to September of 2009..When I first got a myspace page, I had 900 plus friends just for the fuck of it. Then I cut that shit down to double digits...Then I killed the account..I recently bought the account back because Myspace acquired Imeem and I'm hoping I can reclaim my playlist.


When it comes to facebook, I actually like it, its more mature looking and has a more mature feel, but privacy options and the fact I have to use my real name sucks.

So no Facebook for me.
 
I've never been in to "Social networking" sites. I never had a Black Planet, Myspace, or Facebook page. Honestly I don't think I'd get any of them either. IF I did, it would be for business purposes, but at the same time, I could just as easily get my own website. I know plenty of people with Facebook, and it always amazes me how people look at you when you tell them you're not on there. People have become so used to having these pages that anyone who doesn't sticks out like a sore thumb. To me things like facebook, myspace, etc. do have a purpose to some extent (e.g. networking, getting your name and talent out, catching up with people, etc.), but beyond that point, as others have already said, they seem to be more about narcissism, and attention whoring. I'm not with all that. I also think that the "social networking" sites are very trendy. There are a bunch of people who use/have them only because they are the "in" thing. I've never been in to doing something strictly because it was "in". If it was "in" and I liked it (already) fine, but I've never been the kind of person to just follow the crowd just to fit in...

fyi,
if u decide to open an acct (depending on if u have a smart phone),
all of your facebook friends info will automatically be added to your phones contact list.
its an app called SYNERGY that syncs the info on your FB acct to every other feature on your phone.
 
A chick I went to school with put pictures of her and the man she was cheating on her husband with (also married) online and told the entire story about how she caught her husband cheating.

Apparently she walked in on them and now he is living in Florida, waiting for the divorce.

3 kids, married for a few years.

The bitch was having a break down on facebook.

One of the pictures was with the guy she was messing with (both married) in her husbands house with the caption, "He don't know this nigga been fucking us in our house."

Dumb bitch was doing the same thing and probably hurt herself during the process because she tagged EVERYBODY.

Facebook is cool.

I'm of the opinion that it is NOT Myspace and shouldn't be used as a means of picking up random ass. I have friends, family and some aquaintances. It's cool to communicate with a cousin who lives across the country who I'd know I wouldn't call or email otherwise.

Facebook does have privacy issues (now friends of friends can see your shit :smh:), but since I don't put anything up that I care if anyone sees, it's not the end of the world to me.
 
I thought about getting a Facebook account, but then I thought about those annoying ass people I knew from High School trying to be my Facebook friend.

best answer. I have a FB account but I stopped using it in mid '08... I got more time for other things now.

Facebook kinda fucked up a lot of shit for me I've been staying away from it a lil bit cause its been hectic.
 
So a coworker asked me to search for a cousin that graduated in the same class as I today, on the way I seen a lot of old classmates and glad the same them doing well but at the same time...

Every chick who didn't blow up into a whale yet have tons of wanna be model photos living faux lives of "doing it big"

Live life to the fullest is on almost every broad's page.

Every cornball dude in highschool got "swag" now.

Facebook just reinforces the fact that I went to a garbage ass highschool full of corny ass people.
 
I have one, but definitely don't use it to pick up women. I have too much family and friends up on there, that I do not need in my business like that. And you don't want hoes crossing paths in status updates either. :smh:

It's crazy though, how I have my entire High school class from 10+ years ago on FB. Seeing alot of them broke and unemployed...multiple kids, overweight, charges, court dates, complaining about life in their status updates. And I'm like :lol:, life is good, I'm so happy I went to college (and finished!).

As a female, I use mine to keep in touch with friends from grad school, particularly, and some of my former jobs. It's a great way to keep in touch with them and have a friend (or two) to hang out with or ask specific questions about what's going on in their city if/when I'm coming to visit...

I hate all the stupid apps/Facebook games and the notices I get about it, though. If they would cancel that shit, I'd be happy with it.

Besides my high school, college and work friends, I also keep updates on musicians I prefer to listen to. Lots of times, they'll let you know, via their Facebook, when they're doing a show, where and if they have a TV performance coming up...
 
Signed up back in 2005 when it was restricted only to college students. I've only used it mainly to keep in contact with friends. 95% of the time, I'm only on there just to send out birthday messages. Never used it as a tool to pick up women so I've never had a problem with people coming across my page. I pretty much restrict all access to my friends and I don't just add random people as my friend.
 
Man fuck a facebook. yeah I'm on that shit, but it is a good way to keep in contact with friends. All that other "tell you business bullshit" is for the birds.

I don't have any issue, you just have to know how to safeguard some of your stuff. For me it's simple:

I don't put exact locations and stats up there for anyone. I'm careful about whom I add and I don't put a lot of personal info out there. I've never had any problems with chicks and social networks because they know I'm not theirs and they know I can do whatever I want. If I were in a relationship, I wouldn't even put that out there.

Recently, FB has helped me link up with folks (which has been pleasant) and has made me money. Old schoolmates will chat with me and when they need computer repairs, I'm the first they call. It's worked out great and since they already know me, visiting is pleasant. They even refer me to friends and relatives. It's not all that bad to me, especially if you use common sense.

I have one. Found it to be an effective way to find people I've lost contact with and re-establish ties.

I'm always stunned to see how much private shit people put on there. Plus I do not "Friend" people I don't know or I wasn't friends with already. Why the fuck would I want to be FB "Friends" with someone I didn't speak to when we were actually anywhere near each other?

Will Facebook allow me access to download movies, music, porn and at times even provide stock tips?

Will Facebook make me laugh, discuss various topics and many times hear about breaking news first?

With all that said, don't focus on the venue. Focus on what that venue brings.

And no I don't have a Facebook account, I'm lazy and don't want people in my business. One of these days I might sign up?
