F.B.I. Raids Office of Trump’s Longtime Lawyer Michael Cohen

The cases against Manafort and Gates would proceed, those are already on the docket. We have no idea what Mueller already knows or what other indictments may be sealed. All the bombshells we've been hearing except for today's raid, are normally dropped 3-6+ weeks after the fact. I'm pretty sure they already have a contingency plan should Trump fire him.

Agreed! Agreed! If I'm Trump I'm firing Mueller tomorrow and hoping their contingency plan isn't as sound as it may seem.

Isnt the feds involved, so wouldnt that be federal charges??

and yes the person has to be convicted first; but I didnt know a person has to admit guilt before a pardon can take place...

I just heard it was feds on the news. I haven't been able to digest everything, so it may be federal also.

Is Mueller this Savage??? I can't imagine having a lawyer like that after me. Shit has to be uneasy. How can he be so damn flawless with shit??
Reminds me of Ken Griffey Jr.'s last HS all star game. Most of the college recruiters got up and walked out, because they KNEW that there was NO way in hell he was going college, and that those other kids had NO business being on the same field with him.

As predicted, it seems like Trump is leveling up on the "Mueller has crossed the line" talk and needs to be removed.

Believe it or not, at this point, this may be his best move. It seems all but certain if he allows Mueller to continue it's just going to strengthen Meuller's case and likely evidence he has against Trump.

By firing him it creates 1)Delay and 2) Muddiness.

Obviously, a delay buys Trump time. But more importantly, the "muddies" is what he really needs. If Mueller gets fired what happens next?

That, I'm not sure anyone can say for certain.

Will congressmen come together and demand he's reinstated and the investigation continue?

My guess is there would be a lot of huffing and puffing resulting in nothing really.

Sure, Trump gets labeled as guilty and likely foiled everything so the full results of the investigation didn't come out.

But, at least he's not getting a recommended indictment by Mueller's direct investigation.

Side Note: I'm kinda shocked that Cohen/Trump didn't get a heads-up about this raid? Or did they?

I'm shocked he's waited soo long to do this. He should have long thrown that Hail Mary.

Right now Mueller is the "guy" and he seems to be on his game. He's got the "hot hand" and everything he's shooting or throwing is finding it's way in the basket and/or the endzone. In sports, you can't set back and hope the person "cools" off. You have to disrupt that flow and force someone else to beat you.

Trump MUST do this if he hopes to increase his already small chance of surviving this relatively unscathed, considering!

He has to fire Mueller and hope between Congress and/or someone else on the legal team isn't as competent.

It think firing Mueller is going to have the opposite effect of what Trump wants.. but at this point, he HAS to make the move..has to. now he's just waiting on Mueller to kill him

it's too late though.. he should have fired Mueller a long ass time ago..

This is the part I don't understand. How are they going to prevent it?

How are they going to ensure that the rule and full process of the law plays out?

My understanding is w/o some GOP involvement they don't have the numbers to enforce anything.

I think they might have enough GOP people to join in... If Trump tries to fire him. The GOP is shock right now anyway....

Man Mid-Terms might insane... Look at this shit.. Just look at Tennessee.
Right now Democrat Phil Bredesen (former Governor of this State) holds a double-digit lead over Marsha Blackburn for a Senate Spot.. That's how hardcore they are.. They Convinced Bredesen to come out and go full force for Bob Corker's spot. There is a crazy chance that an East Tennessee Senate Spot could be flipped. That shit is insane. White People in that part of Tennessee marry their cousins.
