Going back to the village raising babies
developing businesses that hire and keep money inside the community longer than a few hours.
supporting black businesses
starting urban community gardens
taking advantage of the city programs that allow to buy back the blocks
starting community tutoring and mentoring centers.
teaching life skills and marketable skills.
being involved with the community
getting involved with the school boards in the hood
running for local offices
going to the council meetings and making noise....squeaky wheeels get the grease
start a non profit and work the affluent black folks in or from the comunity for funding programs and or scholarships.
talk and listen to those in the community and get them on board building their communities....

The "acts of violence" itself has nothing to do with race/racism. Murder, violence, guns etc is just something that comes with the territory; no matter the color of the criminal.
