Lady Gaga Cancels Indonesia Show Due To Islamic Extremist Threats

Security fears force Gaga to cancel show...
TMZ reports that Lady Gaga's management team has canceled Gaga's concert in Jakarta, Indonesia out of fear that Islamic hardliners might attack it. A few Islamic extremists were upset about Gaga's costumes and dance moves which they feel would corrupt young Muslims.
The Indonesian Council of Ulema chairman, Cholil Ridwan, went as far as to urge fellow Muslims not to attend the show, saying, "It's intended to destroy the nation's morality."
52,000 tickets had been sold for the show, but Jakarta's police refused to issue the show a permit due to security concerns. With no permit and the rising security threats, Gaga opted to cancel the show.
She tweeted the following about the situation:
"I'm so very sorry to the fans and just as devastated as you if not more. You are everything to me. I will try to put together something special for you. My love for Indonesia has only grown."

Christians in the Philippines are protesting against her concert there and authorities have banned under 18s from attending as her music 'would corrupt the youth of a nation'.
'About 200 Christian youths marched in Manila for a second straight day, holding placards urging the pop singer to “respect our faith, stop the blasphemy.”
