And
Started in '86, and I've never dropped a bike. *knock on wood* I always used to say to myself every time I rode: "You don't own the bike, she just lets you ride her."Of course.
There are two types of riders, those that have fell, and those that will.
Broke my hand on a moped years ago. So the motorcycle question for me is obvious and should be for anyone.
Here's the thing. In a car there are bumpers, air bags, reinforcement in the body and seat belts required. But the law allows this shit.
Yea I still want to ride my mid life crisis
Is coming and I can't fuckin wait
You still ride?I've had at least one friend die a season, while riding since 1999... Shit is real in the streets as a rider...
You still ride?
Talking to my mechanic last night, he showed me his son's bike, a V-Twin, and telling me about riding. I've never rode a motorcycle, it I want to buy one this year.
I like sport bikes and hogs, but I wanna start on a sport bike.
Any suggestions on which model or size to learn on?
Heard I should start on a 750 because I'm 6'2" 255 lbs now (losing weight)

Damn, you started off with a brand new bike? So you been had money!I still have a bike, but rarely ride since moving to FL. These drivers don't give a fuck, and will run you over while texting or eating Chinese food and driving.
I have a GSXR 1000, I hear people say that one should start on a 600 or 750, and after a few months you will be ready to upgrade. I don't follow that train of thought. I had my 1st street bike experience on a 1992 GSXR 1100 that my uncle owned. He told me "listen youth, di bike ongle go as fast as you twist the throttle, if you want stop draw fi di brakes", & " if yu drop off did ya blood claat, yu own it"... I guess that was all the motivation I needed.
Nah... but on a serious note, I started in 1994 on a 94 CBR 900rr, I didn't feel the need to purchase and outgrow a 600/750. I just rode within my skill level, as I got better and gained more experience, I rode faster and with more confidence.
Besides you'll look like a circus clown at 6ft - 255lbs on a little ass 750....jk
MBP man cmon. That's the scariest thing to see if a bike going down because you know they have no protection.I love it when those mufukkas crash...... I hate motorcycle riders. they need their own hwy/roads/ streets.....
I think they are the WORST road hazards ever! They TRY to bully you..... the tricks on the hwy ( 285..... from I20 interchange to the top of the perimeter & from there to I20 again in the west end.) in & out of traffic.... I can see when shit is @ a creep/standstill, you expect them to ride the white divider line SLOWLY, so they can keep moving! But not all that weaving in & out shit causing you to have to ride the break or some shit like that. FUCK'EM! thats why they should wear PROTECTIVE GEARMBP man cmon. Ive owned 3. Drop two. Dog ran out of a fence in front of me, hit and laid the bike down.
Second time I got caught in the rain and it raised the oil on the roads. Made a turn and the ass kicked out, laid it down.
Never anything beyond bumps and bruises so I’ve been lucky.
