"ESPN's Disgusting Coverage of the NFL Draft & Brady Quinn" R Littal BSO.com

Quinn received no more pub than Matt Leinart. EVERYTHING at Notre Dame is hyped up. When Notre Dame hasnt beaten anybody of real substance but makes it to 6 or 7-0 its an event. I dont give a fuck what season it is. If Notre Dame goes undefeated, they are going to the NC game. When you are a star at ND its auto-hype. Plus the same scouts that shitted on him were the same scouts that last year had him top 3 had he left.

ESPN always has their people for the draft that market it. The funny thing people seem not to mention is that EVERYTIME somebody got picked they showed the rest in the green room. Come on now I know Im not the only dude that seen EVERY pick after 3 they showed Quinn AND Adrian Peterson looking fucked up. After AP got picked the only one left in the green room was Brady so they had really no choice, one of the marketers was still in the green room.

Great article.

The BEST thing about him going to Cleveland is that he'll someday get playing time against some "pipe-laying" defenses (Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Cincy) that will make him look like the bitch he is.

I can't WAIT for that first blind side blitz that makes his head snap and lays his sweet ass out with a concussion.

Thanks ESPN. Probably wouldn't have given a shit either way if it wasn't for you bitches.

That is good news

But then it will be the offensive lines fault..or the coach...The Black Coach's fault for not using his "God given talents" correctly.

What you said made no sense. The term Great White Hope is for when they hype up a white boy for doing some shit that usually isnt done by them. Example: Steve Nash a whiteboy winning MVP isnt the usual. Steve Largent, a white WR putting up Hall of Fame stats isnt the usual. But a white QB? Thats about as usual as you can get in American Sports.

They can blame the O-Line, Romeo, LeBron James, Drew Carey, Mayor Jackson or Global Warming. I don't give a fuck.

I just want that pussy-ass whiteboy on a stretcher. Not a career-ender (I'm not that mean)......just something to snuff some of that air out his balloon and to make ESPN cringe.

Fuck that. I want somebody to Joe Theisman his ass

I was hoping that he wouldn't get drafted until the 2nd round. You could see their horns when MIA passed on him, Mel Cracker was pissed off!!! Keyshawn broke em off when he use the term, "Golden Boy", you could even see that they were pissed off at Keyshawn cause all the brothas were getting picked. You could imagine that "Golden Boy" and his family was in that private room getting heated and crying about how the NFL thought about him!!!

WTF??!!! The NFL doesn't need any more "great white hope" quarterbacks. It's dominated by them. ("Great Black Hope" quarterbacks, like Vince Young, are more newsworthy.)

What does ESPN care about Quinn, other than the fact that Notre Dame generally gets a lot of coverage and the fact that his dropping down in the draft (after many thought Cleveland would take him as high as 3rd) was THE BIG STORY of the day. Simple as that. If anything, their continued focus on him was humiliating to him and his status, not supportive.

There's far more (self-pitying and wacko) "racism" in this thread than there was exhibited by ESPN. :smh:

So I should just stick to calling Quinn a "pussy-ass" instead of a "pussy-ass whiteboy"?

Didn't mean to offend. He's white and a boy. Sorry.....

I'm a Cleveland Borwns fan and I didn't like Quinn until Cleeveland drafted him. :) Quinn suffered from the Vince Young/Matt Leinart thing last year. Quinn is a much better QB than Lienart who deserved to fall - Quinn didn't. Miami should have snapped him up.

I'd have taken the WR first not Russell. He reminds me of Dante Culpepper - nothing more. And he looks like he'll have weight problems. Hes not even a full grown manyet. Plus, he was riding Vince Young's jock from last year. He ain't Vince Young, plus I think Young will be a better QB.

This is true. ESPN - for all it's faults - made Brady Quinn look like a loser.

Good point. You KNOW that 90% of NFL cats already couldn't wait to tear a hole in Brady Quinn's ass. Now they've got The Goodell Intervention ( :smh: ) as locker room fodder.

Thank God you are not an NFL GM you'd fuck somebodies franchise up something serious. "Daunte Culpepper nothing more"..Have you forgotten that PRIOR to his injury, in 05 he had one of the top 10 best QB seasons EVER without Randy Moss? You do realize that if not for Peyton throwing 49TD's He was damn near a sure thing to win MVP? So being Daunte Culpepper pre-injury is basically saying he's gonna be a top 5 QB.... You dont know that? Dont you...

Why would you take a WR first and not have anybody to throw him the ball? Why would you take a WR first and everyone knows its ALWAYS WR that you can find to be productive?, QB's are the hardest to find...

Brady Quinn is better than Leinhart? Dont let anybody hear you say that outloud. And Riding Vince? Dude his skill set as a passer is better than Vinces already. Vinces strengths are his ability to improvise on the go and his athleticism.....You might wanna actually watch more football instead of playing Madden, you might hurt yourself.

. Russell is good and I wish him the best but he has had some bad games too Aurbun and Florida. If any of you know college football or every played which I doubt, everyone know's ND has no team speed and a big, but weak OL. There sec is slow, LB's slow and DL Slow, USC has own there Sec for 5 years Speed Kills.

I guess thats why the SEC had 11 players in the first round  By the way what big game did Brady Quinn win? What's his bowl record? If it's not not about race, why did Paul Hornung say that the Irish need to lower there academic standards to bring in more black players?

The worst NFL draft show that I've seen to date.
It should've been called the "ESPN Brady Quinn Draft Watch Special"
I thought Mel Kipper's head was gonna pop off from his angry epileptic rant. Steve Young was angry and ranting, Chris Berman was angry.
The only one who was cool and calm about the draft was Keyshawn Johnson.
When they finally drafted Quinn with trade deals to the Browns, you should of seen the smiles and looks of climatic relief on the faces of the three stooges Kipper, Young and Berman, it was pathetic.

The problem is this:

ESPN has monopolized sports....

They have totally changed within the last ten years

Its more opinion than reporting

Theyve lead the charge against Bonds

and its only getting worse

And remember they got rid of Jason Whitlock on the "Sport Reporters" for defending Barry Bonds.

LOL too bad the NFL scouts don't agree with you. Mike Williams, Dwayne Jarrett, Lendell White, Keary Colbert. All these dudes put up huge numbers against other PAC-10 schools but what's the main knock against all of them? LACK OF SPEED(Colbert's a little faster but the bitch lacks explosiveness and can never separate--Carolina Panthers fans hate his ass). Three out of those four players mentioned are already considered busts.

Jarrett is yet to play in the NFL but I can't see his big plodding ass doing much of anything. Steve Smith might be decent but fuck let's be real--since you say USC is so fast, where are all the WR's that they should have starring in the NFL? If they would've played in the SEC they would've been exposed early and often and would've been considered possession receivers at best.

As far as the SEC, everyone knows it's the best conference in football--subject is not even up for debate except for two kinds of people--dummies and those who just like to argue. Which one are you?

The SEC had the most players taken in the first round--11.

The SEC had the most players taken overall--41.

You just revealed a lot about your IQ with this statement. You're pretty much an idiot, you know that right?

WTF? It was ESPN who put their asses on the line with (and ended up being universally hated-on for) that embarrassing, ill-fated Barry Bonds "reality show."

Every simpleton on this board blindly follows the mob and trashes ESPN, MTV and BET. But they love the Cartoon Network. Figures.

First I will say this Quinn is over rated and is a bust!!!! (Not because he is white! He is not that good) But I think its a Notre Dame thing. They get free ranking in the top ten even tho they should be in out of the top 25 and then they get bs hype about there players (Black or White). He was a Heisman canidate even afer he blew games and poor performances.

Oh yeah fuck Blunt the Cunt!!

Fool, please. I'm the only one talking about "sports" (and reality) here. You and your ilk are just jerking each other off with your usual brand of nonsensical and ignorant racist GLOATING (premature, by the way). Nothing resembling a "sports discussion" is involved in any of your commentary. It's lame, vulgar, and pathetically "redneck."

Come back when you mature.

You know those assholes had Quinn as being way better than Russell, I wonder why?

First Let me start by saying In college when I was on the field playing football I loved seeing the gay ass nigga in the crowd keeping a bitch warm, while I balling on the field. The funny thing is the bitch he was keeping warm was really his bitch, I just was hittin the ass at night while his ass was in step practice or the study hall or some other stupid shit. I see you was the nigga who's women I was hitting. I enjoyed tapping your girl ass behind your back. Thanks for keeping her warm while you both cheered for me.

First lets talk real football 1. anyone who has played ball knows team speed really is based on who you are playing at that time, ex If ND plays Airforce ND has faster players on that day, or If Miami plays Duke they will have faster players on that day. I never said USC was fastest just that they had more team speed at key position then ND. Jarriet white etc. are not the fastest but they blew past ND's sec and lb's. USC overall has more team speed then ND point blank. I really didn't understand what point you was making because it is clear you never play college ball.

ps. LB mean Linebacker for the gay ass cheerleaders.

As for your USC and SEC junk you need to look up your facts, because USC has beat every SEC team they've played the last 5 years example 2006 arkansas 50-17 2005 arkansas 70-14 2004 auburn 23-0 2003 Auburn 24-17 before you open your mouth know what your talking about gay ass cheerleader. Yo ass is the idot because you are a gay ass fudge packer who caked bitchs in college or highschool while ballers got the pussy. Before you ever come at a baller get you facts and know what you are talking about. Go play fan football or some shit because you truly have never seen a football field us less you was out there cheering for me. If you need some more info FOOTBALL 101 classes will be held up you sorry ass. Don't you ever in life come at me about the game I played and love.

For the none football playing nerds sec in my post stands for Secondary not the conference dumb asses. I kept wondering how I got involed in a SEC debate. I got to leave this board it is being over run by NERDS. What is the world coming to when brothas don't know football.

Who the yell cares about Paul Hornung, you so wack I can't reply.

Brady's coverage was all about race

What a story!
--> "The next great white hype"

Don't get me started on coach Willingham and the nonsense that went down with that.
That was about RACE also

I thought the first pick of the draft was supposed to get most of the hype?
JeMarcus was a mere afterthought yesterday.

ESPN fucked up on the coverage and made the draft about Brady Quinn and not about the other players

Brady Quinn was about ratings and keeping people watching the draft which is boring as hell. If you work in media the goal is to keep ratings high by keeping views from changing the channel. Sorry to say it but, Russell isn't going to keep people watching for 6 hours saying four word pharses. TV is about money and Russell story is good but it doesn't keep people in there seat for 6 hours. Brady gave the draft drama and that is what Matt Lin did last year and the guy from cal the year before. It's good TV and thats all man, who doesn't want to see the all american guy look like ass on national TV it kept all yall watching.
