End of Year Rituals - Anybody have them?

Every year come December I usually take some time (about a week) and do a juice fast. During this time I go for a short walk or run (20 minutes) and focus on everything I was thankful for during 2007.

On the weekend (this weekend this year), I spend from Friday to Sunday documenting the goals I acheived and the ones I didn't, I start to formulate my goals for the coming year and list them in order of importance so I can start planning. I also take some time to list all my accounts:smh:, properties:), mortgages:smh:, consumer debt:angry:, etc. to determine my net worth.

Just wondering if I'm obsessed or does anyone else do this?

Clean house from top to bottom. Throw away any un-needed things. Write everything and everyone I don't want to bring into the new year on a paper and burn it far from my house.

I make sure my place is clean - I go to my moms house and grab some black eye peas and cornbread and make it my first meal of the new year. I also make sure a male is the first person to enter my place...

Wow, you are such a tease. Since the New Year is on Tuesday ... I'll be over at 11:59pm on 12/31 awaiting to be the first person to "enter your space"

Clean house, pot of rice and peas on the stove, the Lord' Prayer.

Happy New Year to you all! Health, Wealth, LOVE and Prosperity.

Am I the only one who eats greens and black eyed peas on New Year's Day?

What you know about black eyed peas on New Year's Day?

What you know about it being bad luck if a man isn't the first to walk through the door.

Mailing all your bills off on 12/31

my mom started us on this tradition when I was young and I still do it 'till this day. Won't be at home this NYE but I'll find some black eyed peas around here somewhere

I used to have the ritual to party and drink with friends to bring the new year in but I don't do that anymore so I have none.

Clean house from tippy top to bottom, getting rid of anything and everything just taking up space.
A spiritual bath in the evening.
Throw rice in front of the doors at midnight.
Both of my dad's parents died on NYE two years apart, so I go to church and light a candle for them.
My moms makes a soup which has to be the first thing to eat Jan 1.
