Elevated buses...could this work in the US??

A version of it could be done. Probably in a newer city where the buildings and streets aren't so entrenched. But then in that case there wouldn't be a huge number of cars and people. So I guess it's not going to be practical in many places. Not to mention natural disasters like earthquakes and tornadoes and such.
But the bottom line is gonna be profit. If somebody, ie. : politicians, can get paid expect one in your town soon. Just like the Springfield Monorail.

A lot of buildings, roads, streets and stuff are old and need to be torn down anyway...I see this as an intermediate distance travel thing...from philly to new york or florida to south carolina etc.. If I were grayhound or some bus company I would be looking into this to replace the fleet.
Also its a great works program in redesigning and modding the streets and highways for support it...

How much to build the infrastructure and the buses???
atlanta desperately needs something like this or a monorail.
