Most car experts agree that even if you are driving at highway speeds, fully pressing the brakes should overcome any accelerator pedal, unless the brakimg system is compromised.

That sounds about right. There's currently a recall on them for a locked door issue, but I haven't seen anything about stuck gas pedals.
