Good drop, definitely an interesting article. It's messed up because it seems no matter where you go to try to better yourself, you have to deal with this bullshit.

I spend most of time in that region and never experienced racism, however I think its because of what I do so I often meet with the educated and more sophisticated elites, but that said you guys should first understand that regardless of the vast amounts of wealth Arab world people are not that educated as you might think. I would say they only started to invest extensively in education in the last 10 yrs or so.

Ohhh this is also a region that still thrives on modern day slavery (building those new shinny buildings and infrastructure)

I worked with a dude from Egypt. We broke bread together, he also taught me as much as he could about the industry at the time. When I expressed some interest in learning more about Islam he became very excited. He invited me to the mosque to pray. I only wanted to know about the tenants, not convert. If he was racist I didn't see it.
