Eddie Murphy's first stand up comedy appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson". At the time, Eddie Murphy was in the cast of "Saturday Night Live" in 1982. Eddie's stand up routine includes jokes about his character Buckwheat, underwear models, his family, the Secret Service, and running to be the first black president.

I rolled my eyes at "more menacing."

But that held up well. Really funny, A+ stuff.

I watched to the end even though the routine ended with almost a half minute to go. Carson was apparently a real asshole when it came to comedians and wouldn't call them over to the couch if they didn't meet his standard. So that was probably a big deal to Eddie being invited to sit. (I'd like to see a breakdown of approval vs rejection.)

I just saw this on YouTube. This is worthy of it's own thread IMO.

The title is click-bait-- That was only five minutes of the conversation and it really was more about Bernie Mac's place in particular than each putting forth their top lists. That was interesting, though, as was the entire conversation.

You are a muthafucking weirdo

How can u remember from 1982 but u can’t remember penny hardaway

Foh

In 100 years, Eddie Murphy will have a legacy. Penny Hardaway won't, for the most part. Not in the same way-- People he directly impacted will remember him and perhaps pass props down, but his legacy will be more along the lines of a neighborhood teacher than that of Eddie Murphy, who will have incomparably more people watching his work after his children are all dead than those who revisit Penny Hardaway today.

This. That weirdo Art Vadelay aka Rembrant Brown aka Costanza aka Yahweh is the ultimate weirdo. A real fag hag too. His faggot ass posts no women ever with any of his names and never even comment on them like straight men do.

You have more posts mentioning my name than any woman's. I said years ago, I wish I found a woman to fixate on me the way you do.
