My analysis in this situation is simple and her mindset isn't unique.
I was going to post it earlier but didn't bother and let the thread do what it do.
Bottom line, Black women who are educated and accomplished. They usually expect and require their man to be at the same level as them or above.
It's not that deep and not that surprising, that's just usually the way their mindset is...

What you don't know is I actually agree with some of your points. Yes we men do have checklists. Most of us don't actually have a list, we just know what we will and won't accept but it's not a hard set in stone list like some women and that's the difference.
We also don't broadcast it.
We don't go around talking about she's gotta meet all of these 10-100 points on a checklist for us to date them. And that's what some women are doing and it causes a reaction.

Is it harsh? Yes. Yes there are worse things than being a single mother. Yes a lot of us were raised by a single mothers. Yes a lot of us are conservative when it comes to abortion.

Would I consider a man saying that a good man? Yes. Single motherhood is preventable to a certain extent. You have a better chance at finding that elusive person if you don't have a kid.

But Ceteris paribus, all of the things being equal, you got a woman with two kids and a good job and a woman with no kids and a good job, which one you picking?
Yes, it was broad sweeping. No, it doesn't fit every situation. But you do drastically reduce your options if you have kids so you should consider that before deciding to have the kid
I explained this to a woman not too long ago. If a guy has a kid, eight times out of 10 he's not a single parent.
A woman dating a man with a kid even if they are living together we'll see the kid Maybe 60 days a year. She actually gets time to spend alone with her man.
I am from Cleveland and many other women I've run into who have kids have piece of shit daddies who don't or barely pay child support, and/or don't or barely come to see their kids.
Those kids are ALWAYS THERE. You get no break from them and it's hard as hell to get time alone with her so the kids are there 417 days a year.
Maybe there aren't as many single mothers in bad situations where you come from, but from my experience and the women I've met it's more situations like this than the better ones of the shared custody, and the going to visit cousins, and aunts and uncles who come pick the kids up

It's about being ok with the pros and the inherent drawbacks that come from that personality trait really. You and they can want whatever they want. But just understand that the man that has dedicated his life to personal, career, and financial success aint bout to give you the same soft skills as buddy from FedEx. Women will buy a Corvette, put their foot in it and enjoy everything they like about it, then bitch that it guzzles gas, has a harsh ride and you have to take inclines at angles. This is women across the board and women with money are worse because they feel like they're entitled to perfection because they have money and success. Again, men don't seem to have this issue. You see men with avg women all the time. Avg looking, avg cooking, avg cleaning ass women because overall, she's a good woman. But I don't believe these types of women actually want relationships. They want ideals and the ability to flex on mean when they can't find those ideals. They seem to get a high on saying "men aren't up to standard..." No... Its a man for whatever type you're into. But 1. He gotta actually want you back, which many don't because these type seems to think men are beholden to them. 2. Even if they did lock down that men they'd complain about the thing she didn't like. I got a home girl that will hit 40 in November. No kids. Never married, only 2 relationships since she's been an adult... She told me that no man she's ever been with was worth committing to... None!!! I've actually met the last one. Solid dude, not perfect but solid... But she's got 3 degrees works for a massive bank and makes 200k a year. The man she wants, aint bout to put up with her personality, or shower her with attention and time. But she doesn't get it and hench... Gone end up just being a fuck piece and complain that men are trash.
