And how many have switched or are considering vegan/vegetarianism?

Good post, I hope that eating less and less meat will become a trend for all of us!

Stopped eating red meat a year ago, but I continue to eat large amounts of chicken and fish. Trying to pack on the muscle. :dunno:

I still love eating meat, but have been switching up meat with fish....would eventually love to do a complete swap and be a pescetarian.

I eat very little meat, or processed foods. But I do eat animals a couple times a month. Mostly raw vegan tho.

I feel it. I barely eat too much red meat anymore. One of my best friends, 39-yr old chick called me the other day to tell me she had Stage 0 colon cancer. BUT she has a genetic disorder that makes her susceptible to cancer. :-( I think she'll be okay for now, she has surgery coming up, but damnit, it sure put some shit on my my mind. I'm 35. I think I'm chill in on this meat thing for good and coming to grips with what I need to do to live a long, full life with minimal health problems.

there is nothing wrong with eating meat as long as you eat hormone free, all natural and grass fed cow meat. Chicken hormone free, cage free and all that good shit.

As for swine? Don't touch the stuff...

But seriously, certain people should eat for their blood type. There is a book called Eat Right 4 Your Type and everyone cannot stop eating meat. Our stomach and insides were made to be carnivorous. There are certain nutrients and enzymes that can't be obtained in anything but meat...

Don't eat much red meat. Eat a decent amount of chicken and fish. I need to up my fish intake though. Wish turkey were more popular/affordable year-round as I'd eat more of it too. Baked chicken and fish are faves though.

Well, eating a lot of meat, even when eating the high quality stuff, can lead to long-term health problems, especially red meat.

We are omnivores folks. With that being said I don't eat pork. I eat chicken & fish. Occasionally I eat lamb , mutton and beef. I don't care too much for shell fish. I love veggies. I am always eating veggies and or provisions. Not trying to eat too much rice or rice everyday.

A few months ago, I came off of my vegan diet of one year. It was very difficult to stay a true vegan as many places do not cater to the vegan diet. Lack of suitable on-the-go options is the main reason I decided to forgo this particular diet (which by the way did wonders for me). While at home, I eat no meat at all with fish being one of my time to time exceptions if I'm on the road.

As for read meat, I haven't had that shit in 10 years.

Last time I had red meat was July 4th. Since then also a very limited amount of chicken.

Eating a lot more fish, lots of vegetables, and beans too.

Feeling good.

We use to eat chicken like almost 5 days a week.

These days fish make twice a week, and on other days, more beans/other veggies.

Been eating a ton of burritos too :dunno:

I consume only chicken, turkey, & certain fish flesh.

Some days are completely vegetarian.

Haven't had pork or beef since '97.

& there were times of being completely vegetarian.

No shell fish, no scavengers.

eating less animal fat will also benefit the prostate.

been a vegan since 2004.

LOL niggas always say that no scavengers shit but eat fish.:lol::lol::smh: The hell y'all think fish eat? Kale shakes?

In a very broad brushstroke, in 1995 cut sodas, greatly reduced red meat, pork, and grain.

Over the last decade, red meat, pork continued to be greatly reduced while upping turkey, chicken, fish, and plant based whole foods.

Bottom line, closer to veggie than carnivorous. Never a big red meat eater, anyway. Sugar either.

Humans are omnivores, though, fam.

I'm done with red meat and pork...only wild caught fish and cage-free chicken for me. I also don't eat anything white (bread, rice, sugar, etc.) and make sure to eat an apple and 2-3 servings of some type of green vegetable each day.

I don't believe humans are designed made to be full-on vegans, we just have to be smart about or meat/seafood choices. We must take ownership of our health if we expect to survive in this world of commercialized and processed food. That means eating real, whole foods in their closest form to their natural state.

I have been vegetarian since 2000. I feel it's helped me maintain a fairly consistant weight at a time when a lot of my peers are growing pot bellys and shit. I also hear from a lot of people how I look a lot younger than I am. Usually they only figure out my real age from all the 80's references.

I can't say for sure that all of this is a result of my diet, but I don't think it hurt any. More importantly, back when I ate meat I had a lot of digestive problems. These issues all but went away when I quit.

I don't know what the rest of you humans are meant to do, but this is working for me.

Being on this site long enough I've discovered
  1. 95% of us are millionaires
