I think they'll love it.. most of them played in aggressive systems before being coached by Billy Davis...Graham, Curry, Cox and Thornton all played under washburn and loved him to death. The only player on the D that i think is a lil soft is Maxwell, and we might have to let Thurmond walk and draft more of a traditional box safety

Graham played for Washburn and had awful year. Remember they were calling him a bust? Cox and curry were drafted after Washburn left. Besides playing in an aggressive system has nothing to do with what I said I'm simply saying these new players don't respond well to a coach who will curse their asses up and down the field
Wrong, Cox and Curry were drafted when Washburn was here. Washburn actually went down to Mississippi before the draft and worked Cox out before the Senior bowl and lobbied to Howie about drafting him and Curry if possible . He was fired later that year..the Washburn point was brought up because he was a known hard ass who would cuss players and other coaches out...the organization got tired of him doing it with the staff particularly Juan so they fired him ..but all the Dlinemen got along with him and had good production so the whole assumption that "duh they won't be able to deal with tough talk" is bullshit when there's been proof that they mostly thrived under that type of coaching..
Yes I like the Schwartz hire, we'll see about Pederson. Would have preferred Lovie or Hue Jackson for HC. But as long as he gets good coordinators I think he'll do fine
