Yup...its crazy that $179 guaranteed and $255 million for a QB could be looked at as "Team Friendly"

Howie got this shit done before Burrow and Herbert got their upcoming deals....plus I think we still are sitting at $20 million for the 2024 cap without factoring in any rollover from 2023 and the future cap rate raises

Got 2 first round picks in this current draft that will possibly get traded for a couple more draft picks

We have a lot of young homegrown talent on the roster including some that have been "redshirted" last year stepping up into their roles this year ( Nakobe Dean, Jordan Davis, Trey Sermon etc.)

Have a gang of Compensatory picks in the 2024 draft from all the free agents that we've lost so far...so It will be another deep draft with more cost controlled talent for a while. ( two 2nd round picks, two 4th round picks, four 5th round picks etc.)

Yeah and you didn't lose anyone on the defense except for the safety and Hargrave. It's already rumored that if that DL from GA is on the board when they pick, the Eagles are going with him.....

If they Chargers give Herbert anywhere near that they are smoking crack, they have all the leverage in these negotiations. But they'll bend over for that CAC

Facts, I'm loving what I'm seeing from the young brotha, easiest QB to root for in a looong time....Wentz had me hype for a second but I couldn't feel good rooting for him cause ...you know
Vick 2.0 was Dope in 2010 was a shame that Chip Kelly became an Autocrat when he took over as a GM in a war with Howie...go rid of "Howies guys" ( Djax, Shady) and gutted the team.
Randall never had a proper offensive minded coach until it was too late.
McNabb was ill for a minute but was so damn goofy and frustrated the shit outta me with the constant worm burner throws, never corrected his mistakes and Always struck me as a dude who wasn't committed to excellence and had no accountability...I don't get the same vibe from Hurts at all. Seems like a Natural Leader with all the intangibles and the will and growth mindset to constantly improve.

Man Jalen Carter is probably the 2nd best player in the whole draft next to Will Anderson...He's had a horrible offseason though with the character concerns, off the field shit, Pro day performance etc. The only thing making me not question if we pick him at 10th overall is the fact that we have 2 of his former teammates on our squad that will have the inside scoop and reassurance that everythings all good with him.

He's definitely a hard worker who can accomplish those things because like he said he didn't come all the way to smell the smoke!

People was saying howie should draft a RB but he's never known to draft a RB that high.

Bijan could be a target if we trade back to to 12-19. historically the eagles only value the trenches or QB that highly.

if we stay at 10 I'm hoping its Carter or Anderson (if by some miracle he drops). or maybe Witherspoon or Gonzalez's.

ideally we move back a couple slots and still get a premier player and a shitload of draft picks from a team desperate for a player at that spot.

This year NFL draft is deep so, I'm not worried at all!

I'll be happy with whatever howie decides to do in the draft!
 
This is not a Hurts diss but just an observation. Why is it these QB’s are all getting contracts that essentially “one up” the current highest paid QB but they haven’t won anything yet? Patrick Mahomes contract should still be the highest #1 imo. But hey I don’t care but it’s just kind of strange to me.

Tony Pollard had 190

If they keep running him over 150 times a year he's going to get hurt.

Because his rookie contract is up a in a few years so it's better for the team to lock him up now because if they wait the market only goes up. So they tryin to get him early and cheap and avoid what the Cowboys just went thru with Dak.

It's not just about being cheap. Lamar is a ol country ass ninja. One of his uncles probably told him when he was in high school "nephew don't pay no agent boy. You can do that yo self" and he took that shit to heart.

Lamar thinks what he's doing is wisdom. And it can be. IF you are able to be realistic with yourself and not take business personally. And do the footwork to make decisions.

I disagree. I actually agree with Lamar Jackson. He has the résumé hell he was fucking MVP and he’s only 26 years old.
