Bills, Dwight ain't the same Dwight man. You bringing up the finals and DPOY Dwight that was well over 6 years ago. I watch damn near every Rockets game and he can't score in the post effectively or consistently. He had a few spurts but overall you can't rely on him to carry a team on his back like he did in Orlando.

He's still a great rebounder and a top notch defender when engaged but his explosiveness on offense has diminished. He never had any true post skills to begin with so you can't force feed the ball to him in the paint. That's why I don't get this Harden ball hog notion when it's clear the Rockets didn't trust Howard in the paint. Nobody was saying Harden was a ball hog last year when they made the WC finals. Now he had a career high in assists this season with less offensive talent around him but people screaming from the rooftop that he hogs :smh:

Harden's assists are like Marbury's assists meaning they are empty. Also, Harden's style of play is detrimental to ball movement. How many times do you see the Rockets bring the ball up the court and there is maybe one pass then a shot or dribble dribble drive shot or passing it when there are no other options. I was watching one game and dude should have stayed on defense because they were coming up jacking it.

I think it has way more to do with not being healthy. And the team not playing from the inside out than anything else

I've been critical of him for sure

And harden he cool he not consistent with getting ppl involved. I mean it ain't even about harden it's about how the team is made of

Howard needs a team that either feeds him all the time or moves the ball so much he can be involved and active cause he's getting touches

Watching shut has never worked for any big man ever man.

They could run pick and roll and win but it's always iso. Always

I disagree, Harden is a willing passer. There was some data from the NBA that said no other team relies on their one player for their offense like Harden. That means he initiates, scores assists on over 70% of their points. He attacks the basket with the attitude to score but he will kick it to the open shooter.

He's basically the Rockets pg who initiates the offense. You're talking more about the Morey system which I stated is flawed because every one is camped out at the 3 point line and there is absolutely no movement from players.
Rockets arguably have the worst offensive scheme in the league and you gotta blame the system and coaches for that not Harden. It's a miracle that dude got almost 8 assists per game under this system.

Rockets need a coach that can draw up plays and stress movement without the ball. Harden hasn't had a coach like this since he got to Houston. Its basically a system telling everybody but Dwight can jack up threes and Harden is supposed to run the offense as a point while fulfilling his shooting guard duties.

Exactly. So I can't blame him if his involvement is an opportunistic alley and grabbing rebounds off bricks and he doesn't want to play like that

A person would actually have to watch basketball to get it
The way most ball analysis is, people just look at points scored. Not on how many shots, Just points.
Glad that era of inefficient shot jacking is almost over
With that front office mess going on at Houston this year it's amazing they made the playoffs

Funny thing is

Most big men that play with Chris Paul end up looking like all stars and getting fat contacts.

Steph plays basically three quarters and the whole team is eatin very well.

Shooting the three outside the flow of offense is a very bad thing when they aren't falling.
