Actually, I don't believe that this dude's dad left the house with the intent of committing a double homicide. I imagine he didn't want to leave his kid at home at 1:00 am. From my perspective as a married man, I will tell you that there are men who are alright with their wives getting railed by other dudes, but I ain't one of them. Dudes fucking married women deserve the buckle. With two exceptions, if that marriage has that understanding and if the chick lies to dude #2 and told him she was single. Other than that, banging another dudes wife should be a crime you can lose your life for period. I'm conflicted on what should happen with the wife. A lot of times, the conversations that save marriages don't happen until somebody cheats. The anger and intensity at the beginning is high, but there are time when people's relationship get stronger after that. That intensity at the beginning can sometimes get people killed though. Shit, D'Angelo wrote a song about that shit.

He had no idea if dude #2 knew ole girl was married. But the husbad knew he had his kid with him...... if he could take the kid to his parents' house after the killomg, he could've taken him there and went back to dude #2's house. And that added time may have gotten him to cool off a little.
The story as told, the dad never even asked if dude#2 knew she was married..... just got the shank and put it to use. 57 stab wounds is a lot of anger and he still had enough rage/ strength to stab her too
