It's easy to ignore the data and go straight to it's all the white man's fault.
Of course, racism and bias exist. I work in corporate America and am part of the token diversity committee. But, anyone who pretends that there aren't multiple facets at play would be disingenuous. We have to be willing to accept the things that are within our control.
Calling for the death of all cops is not the best way to recruit new black police officers.
Sometimes we are our own worst enemy and we get in the way of our own progress.

So you admit that racism is an issue in corporate america. Perhaps I'm reaching, but I assume you believe it thusly has an adverse affects black peoples' opportunities to join and advance through every substantial level of their organizational hierarchies, except CEO. Do you contend the public service sector of american society, including police agencies, are bereft of racism and the same results?

I believe that racism and bias exist in some form in most spaces. However, it is manifested in different ways. For example, to become a police officer one must pass an entrance exam. There are no barriers to take this exam. Zero!!! However, the barrier isn't actually taking the exam, it's passing the exam. 30% of black applicants do not show up for the exam and another 17% can't pass. This is approximately 50% of all black applicants out just because of the exam. Plus, you still have pass the course.
However, beyond that, we need more of us to apply. This would include changing the narrative regarding "all police are bad." But, things like defund the police, all pigs must die, black police are sellouts, etc. do not positively motivate black folk to apply to become the very thing their community claims to hate.

This part I can agree with. However, I don't think a poll asking if all police are bad, much less all pigs/police must die would result in an affirmative. None the less, it would be interesting to see the group's opinion.
